Concerto Pour Deux Voix
Album Description:
A collection of mostly concertos and light music by contemporary French composer Saint-Preux. He wrote the famous Concerto pour une Voix (Concerto for the Voices of Angels) in 1969, when it was dedicated to Danielle Licari, a French minstrel singer who claimed to have the voice of an angel. The lyric-less song also became a signature track for Danielle Licari.
In 2005, Saint-Preux reworked the song, featuring the composer's daughter Clemence and Jean-Baptiste Maunier, the teenage voice made famous by Springtime for the Cowboys, and changed the title from Concerto pour une Voix to Concerto pour deux Voix.
The title of the song has changed from Concerto pour une Voix to Concerto pour deux Voix (one becomes two).
The prototype for this song was the 1969 Concerto pour une voix (Concerto for One Child's Voice), a wordless chorale sung by two teenage children, with Jean-Baptiste Maunier and Clemence bringing out the beauty of the children's voices, which has recently been played repeatedly in the evenings on French music radio. Recently, French music radio stations have been playing it repeatedly in the evenings, so it is clear that the popularity of chorale has not diminished at all. I remember a few months ago, TF1 organized a choral evening with all the classic chorale pieces, and these two kids were invited by the host to be the guests of honor, Clemence is still a bit shy, but Maunier is already very familiar with it. After all, at just 15, he's already on his way to stardom, coming off the huge success of last year's "Les choristes".
Born in 1990, Maunier, who now lives in Lyon with his parents and brother, discovered his singing talent while attending a Catholic high school and was discovered in "les'choristes" (Springtime for the Cowboys), where he sang with Clemence like a golden couple, and has traveled to France, Canada, Japan and other countries. She has performed not only in France, but also in Canada, Japan and other parts of the world.
Maunier practices his voice for at least an hour and a half every day, and of course he likes classical and religious music, as well as rock and pop, such as KYO. Back in his life, Maunier entertains with his friends, plays sports, and plays soccer, just like a normal French boy. Only if success comes early does it really make a good singer, hopefully we will soon see a more mature Maunier on the French music and movie scene.
