The National Stage Art Excellence Project, as its name suggests, has the core idea of maximizing artistic quality, creating artistic masterpieces that represent the highest level of China's stage art, and providing the most vibrant cultural accumulation for the cultural development of contemporary China. 10 years ago, more than 100 masterpieces and more than 200 shortlisted plays selected for the Excellence Project allowed people to see a historical scroll that corresponds to the life and spirit of the times and is unfolding on the stage of contemporary Chinese art. In the past 10 years, the project has selected more than 100 outstanding plays and more than 200 finalists, showing people a magnificent and magnificent historical scroll that can echo with the life and spirit of the times on the stage of contemporary Chinese art. Looking back at the 10 years of the project's extraordinary artistic practice, in addition to a large number of outstanding plays, it is worth paying attention to the spiritual soil on which these plays were born.

In the creation of high-quality projects, artists go up and down the Yellow Springs, exploring the most refreshing and innovative forms of expression that can make the audience go straight to the bottom of their hearts. In the Yu opera "Chang Xiangyu", the old, middle-aged and young generations of Chang Xiangyu transcend time and space by questioning and clearing up the doubts of the spiritual dialogues, which creatively reproduces the artistic career of a generation of artistic masters "the play is bigger than the sky". The drama Mao Zedong's Thoughts on Xibaipo boldly breaks through the traditional narrative mode that is commonplace on the theater stage with a brand new narrative, thus making the familiar themes and characters rich in the flavor of the times. The traditional acrobatic programs are magnificently transformed and integrated by novel stage technology and overall artistic conception into the acrobatic dramas "Swan Lake", "Hello, Avanti" and "Journey through Space and Time", which combine thrill and beauty in one. Kunqu's "The Palace of Eternal Youth", "Peony Pavilion" and "Dream of the Red Chamber", and Yueju's "Liang Zhu" made new stage interpretations of the classics that inherited the essence of tradition but were also full of modern flavor, which attracted a large number of young audience members who became the new generation of loyal fans of classical Chinese opera.
