Beishexing, a place where martial arts heroes come out of the woodwork

Now 6 miles southwest of Xinzhen Town, Wen'an County, there is a village called Beishexing. This village was established in the early Ming Dynasty, originally belonged to Baoding County (now the new town), during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression under the Wenxin County, and was transferred to Wen'an County at the beginning of 1949. The village terrain is flat, historically well-developed transportation, surrounded by rivers, Daqing River from the southwest to the northeast of the village, Zhaowang River did not divert in the southwest of the village, is an important land and water wharf, merchants gathered, car and boat running, people's eyes wide open, knowledgeable. In the turbulent times, in order to strengthen the body, to protect the family and the country, the local sons and daughters to show more heroic feelings, emerged a large number of martial arts characters. The first to be mentioned here is the martial arts scholar Wang Guoan. Wang Guoan was born in Tongzhi six years (1867), two brothers, his brother Wang Guo Ping. Brothers since childhood martial arts, Wang Guo-an worship in Xiong County opening "" flying leg " Dong master, practicing yin and yang eight plate palm, and then study Shaolin boxing, leg flick, five steps thirteen guns, etc., practiced all the hard skills, it can be said that the knife, gun, sword, halberd, axe, battle-axe, hooks, forks, everything is not good. He and Xie Erhei of Hongcheng in Xiong County were brothers. Xie Erhei, also known as Xie Hu, is the Xie Hu in the commentary "Huang Tianba Caozhou take Xie Hu". His martial arts skills were so strong that he could run away from houses and cross ridges. He was a famous flying thief and was nicknamed "Flying Hairy Legs". In the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, Wang Guoan won the martial arts examination. This person is stout, strong, people send nickname "" Hercules King ", its deeds are included in the Republic of China by Feng Chengrui," Xinzhen County History ". After retiring from his post at home, people commonly see him to the village before the Guanyin Temple to lift hundreds of pounds of stone animal, can spare the temple for a week. Dali Wang and Xiong County Shi Gezhuang (now belongs to Wen'an) of the martial arts Zhang Mou is a good friend, every day on foot to his home to play, late at night, back and forth for more than ten miles, all year round, rain or shine. On this day, Zhang hosted a banquet at home, Wang Jinshi is the oldest sitting in the chief. When the wine to a certain extent, Zhang introduced the king's power, everyone asked to show their hands, the king excused himself, his right hand a long beard, said: "old man this year eighty-three, hand late leg hard, swords and spears play not good, I lifted down the stone it!" Everyone applauded. See Wang Jinshi said: "now ugly!" There are three big stone locks in front of the court, the big one is about 400 pounds, and the small one is more than 100 pounds. Wang Jinshi rolled up his sleeves and tended to walk to the front of the stone locks, two hands gouge the stone, said: "up!" So held a flat. Then look left and right, stayed for a long time, only to see his atmosphere without gasping, and then looked at a small stone locks to Zhang said: "please brother will be small stone locks up on top of the stone locks in my hands." Zhang had a difficult look on his face, but he was afraid of being laughed at by the other guests, so he used all his strength to lift the small stone lock and place it on top of it. By this time, the stone lock was seen to be above the king's head. The king added, "There is another small one on the left, please move it up and put it on top for me." Mr. Zhang and the crowd were shocked and said in unison, "Forget it, old man is really a man of God, we are all convinced!" At the unanimous request of everyone, Wang Jinshi slowly put the stone locks on the ground, only to see that his face did not change color and his heart did not jump, laughing and smiling freely. Then people look at him wearing Jimo boots, cracked several large mouth, everyone looked at each other and laughed. Wang Jinshi life of poverty, no children. The only thing he did was to recruit famous skillful fighters and set up a wide range of training centers in order to popularize the sport. "When the world is in turmoil, it is the responsibility of all." In the midst of the chaotic world, a group of cloth-clad martial artists raised their voices to the top, and a crowd of followers gathered. The first one to be recognized here was the martial arts expert Wang Zixian. Prince Hui (1872-1935), known as Feng Ling, was the disciple of Li Cunyi, the master of Xingyi, and was featured in the book "The Biography of the Nearly Present Northern Healthy Man". When he was a teenager, Wang Zixian was smart and did not like to read but loved to play with guns and sticks, and he was very talented in martial arts. Later, when the village organized the Shaolin Association, a Shaolin Boxing master surnamed Li was invited from the village of Dalonghua in Xiongxian County, and Wang Zixian followed him to practice Shaolin Boxing and soon became famous in his hometown, especially for his double knives of the Dragon Line, which were loved by everyone and were often performed in various villages. In the twenty-eighth year of the Qing Dynasty, an accidental dispute changed Prince Hui's life. As mentioned earlier, Beishexing Village was located on the banks of the Daqing River, which at that time was connected to Baiyangdian in the west and the Haihe River into Tianjin in the east, and was the main waterway from Baoding, Caozhou and other places to Tianjin, known as the "Jinbao Route", with merchant ships traveling to and from the area, which was very prosperous. As a teenager, Wang Zixi lived by the Daqing River and made a living by fishing. At that time, Li Cunyi, a master of Xingyi, opened dart boards in the area of Baoding and Caozhou; the one in Baoding was called Wantong, and the one in Caozhou was called Yiyou. The dart boats often traveled between Tianjin and Baoding, and the master who escorted the darts was Li Zi Yang, one of the so-called ""Dingxing Three Li"", called ""White Dragon River"". Once, when the dart boat passed by Beishexing, it accidentally touched Prince Hui's fishing net, and the two sides had an argument. Prince Hui, relying on his youthfulness and good martial arts skills, did not put the people on the boat under his eyes at all. Both sides started to fight, the result of no less than three rounds, but not the opponent. In a fit of anger, he ran home to fetch two swords and wanted to fight with the dart master, but he was knocked to the ground. The master of the dart escort Li Zi Yang saw in his eyes, happy in his heart, very much cherish the Prince Hui its talent, stop the two sides of the fight, persuade the Prince Hui to go out to break into the world, and their own to go to the dart board to earn a living. Prince Hui obtained his family's consent and went to the dart board with the dart ship and became a disciple of Li Cunyi. He became a martial arts master of the dart board and traveled between Wantong and Yiyou. It is true that there is a sky beyond the sky and a man beyond the man. At this time, Wang Zixin's eyes were opened wide. As he himself had a deep Shaolin background, he was able to learn Xingyi Quan with ease, and was able to y understand the deep meaning of Xingyi Quan, and was especially good at the Four Dragon Shaped Double Knives, Tiger Head Hooks, Panlong Guns, Anshin Cannons, Dragon Shaped Palms, and Eight Feet, which soon made him stand out from his brothers and sisters and made him "on a par with Li Bintang and the Three Lis of Tingxing" (in the words of Yang Mingyi). Mr. Sun Lutang said that Prince Hui's understanding of boxing was different from that of ordinary people, and Mr. Sun Lutang said that he was "a man of great wisdom" and "a man who had his ear to the heart". Mr. Yang Mingyi said, "Zixian's boxing was like a heavenly teaching, and his eyes were always filled with the essence of boxing and the dregs of boxing were discarded, so that he could have them as his own." Most of Zixi's masters and brothers became masters of martial arts in their own right. For example, Hao Enguang, during the Xuantong period of the Qing Dynasty, acted as the director of a martial arts club instructor, and then traveled east to Japan to teach Chinese martial arts, which became famous in the East. Zhang Yinwu, in 1918 as a military instructor in Taiyuan National Teacher Training Center, in 1928 as deputy director of the Hebei Provincial Martial Arts Museum, and later acted as the commander-in-chief of the Hebei Provincial People's Liberation Army, a lifetime of advocating the spirit of martial arts. Modern martial artists, artists, Yan Daosheng, and so on, not to be listed here. After joining Li Cunyi's discipleship, Wang Zixi, in addition to learning the art diligently, also participated in some of the activities of the dart board, in addition to escorting darts for Wantong and Yiyou, he also went to Xiongxian Zhang Qingkou, a rich man's home to protect the yard. 1912, the Chinese Samurai Association was established in Tianjin, Li Cunyi served as the chief of the faculty, Wang Zixi went with the teacher into the Association, assisted Li to assist Li Cunyi to assist in managing the affairs of the Board of Governors and teaching students. In 1917, Li Xingjian took over the presidency of the Samurai Society and Wang Zixi continued to assist in the management of the Society and became a member of the backbone of the Society together with Yan Ziyang, Yang Mingyi, Han Yi'an, and Huang Jianting. After the founding of the Tianjin Chinese Warriors Association in Hebei Park, there was an endless stream of people learning martial arts. At that time, Cao Kun, who was the governor of Tianjin, was a good martial artist and a chivalrous warrior, and his residence was not far from the Warriors Association, so he and the Warriors Association had frequent dealings with each other, and he often went to the Warriors Association to see the affairs of the Warriors Association and to hire personnel. On September 14, 1918, Beijing held a national martial arts competition, and the Russian Hercules Kantar set up a ring for the competition. Li Cunyi, in order to protect the national martial arts and national dignity, led dozens of disciples, such as Wang Zixi, to go. At the meeting, because of the police department, the infantry commander of the ban did not have to fight, and then changed the martial arts for the martial arts, Prince Xiang on the stage practiced the shape of the Dragon double knife, his wonderful performance, the sound of applause, one after another, the Chinese Samurai Association of the divine skills deterred the Russian Hercules. During the period of the Samurai Association, Wang Zixi taught martial arts to the people, many disciples, many people in Tianjin have learned from him in boxing, and many people later served in the military, played a huge role. For example, Liu Xijun served as the director of military affairs, due to the martial arts, valor to kill the enemy, and won many wars. According to Zhang Zonghua, a martial arts teacher in Wen'an County, his master Wang Kechang, former instructor of the 49th National Martial Arts Society in Tianjin, had learned the art from Wang Zixi. In 1916, Zhu Jiabao, hibernating the governor of Zhili province, hired Wang Zixian to teach his two sons boxing, and also learned from Wang Zixian himself. Beishexing Village had kept a sword photo of Prince Hui teaching the two sons of the Zhu family, but unfortunately it was burned during the Cultural Revolution. Regarding this incident, there is a saying in the village, "Good work cannot catch up with a good market", which came from the mouth of Xingyi Quan master Shang Yunxiang. The story goes that when Zhu Jiabao came to the samurai association to select teachers, among the candidates were Wang Zixi and Shang Yunxiang, but Shang Yunxiang was short in stature and did not have a good image, so Zhu Jiabao selected Wang Zixi, and Shang Yunxiang said this in jest. At the end of the Chinese Warrior Society, Wang Zixi returned to his hometown. He was first taught by Sun Yongtian and Li Rongxi in the village of Xiawugezhuang, Suqiao Town, Wen'an County, and then by Sun Yongtian and Li Rongxi in Tianjin. Sun Yongtian was instructed by Sun Lutang in Tianjin and then went to Dalian to teach kung fu. After a period of time, Wang Zixi returned to Beishexing Village and taught boxing in the village until his death. The main heirs were Ning Yongli, Ning Baoshan, Zhu Defu, Yan Zhongqi, Ning Deshan, Wang Zongrui, Wang Zongrui, Ning Baozhen, Ning Baomin, Ning Baozhong, Cheng Wenfa, Cheng Changde, as well as his sons Wang Zongqi and Wang Huainan. The disciple Ning Baoshan later went to teach boxing in Hegang. From there, Xingyi Quan spread in Beishexing Village. Prince Hui was the only son of his family, and he had three sons, Wang Zonghui (Huanan), Wang Zongchu, and Wang Zongzhe, all of whom knew Xingyiquan. He has an uncle brother called Wang Huling, did not go to school for a day, but can speak well, in the village management, ten miles away from people have a difficult task are looking for him to mediate, is the local prestigious gentleman, people send nicknames "" Mr. Wang ". He and Sun Lianzhong is an alliance brother, Zhili war, began to choose the area of the new town, in order to keep a party safe, turning war into peace, he with three inches of tongue, personally to the Sun Lianzhong Department, to persuade the Sun Commander, to avoid a bloodshed of the war, the local people are all very happy. He had two sons, the first one was Wang Zongshun, who practiced Xingyiquan at home, and the second son Wang Zongyao served in the National Revolutionary Army. Wang Zongshun's two sons, Baicang and Baiao, also knew martial arts. Wang Huling had a daughter who married in the Chai family in Dongyangmachi Village, Gautou District, and died early of an illness, and his nephew lived in his grandmother's house herding sheep when he was in his teens. His nephew was a big name later, that is, he was known as the commander of the twelve independent detachments of the Jizhong Military Region, Chai Enbo. Of course, Chai Enbo became a traitor at the beginning of the war. Chai Enbo's family was poor when he was a child, and he was raised in his grandmother's house. In the semi-feudal and semi-colonial old China, he suffered a lot from "the rich bullying the poor and the strong bullying the weak". In order to defend himself, Wang Heling supported his nephew to learn martial arts. At the age of eleven or twelve, was introduced to the local Tongbei Quan master Lu Lanting as a teacher, Chai Enbo was born smart, the master of a move, a learning curve, a little bit of a pass. Because of his hard work, martial arts grew very quickly. He is good at fighting, always help the weak against the strong. Practiced a good martial arts, especially good at making double knives, branch art exquisite, known as "flying dagger Chai". He joined the army at a young age and served as a martial arts instructor in the old army. One year and the Germans in a match, the power to fight three people, won the competition champion, Cao Kun personally gifted a sword. At the beginning of the war, led by Chai Sibo, Wang Huanan, the new town set up a defense group, to participate in the anti-Japanese, and fought a few beautiful battles. Beishexing village due to more martial arts, many people joined the team. 1938 spring, fought the Japanese packet ship in the Daqing River. In the battle killed and wounded twelve Japanese soldiers, we were killed in action five people. North Shexing village of Wu Youzhen, Ning Koyi died in battle, the two became martyrs of the revolution. The spread of Xingyiquan in Beishexing made Beishexing village become a well-known boxing den near and far, and almost everyone knew how to fight. 1942, Wang Huanan set up the South China High School in the village, and invited Gao Zhendong, the head of Wudang of the former Central State Art Museum, Li Chunfang, the son of Li Ziyang, and Qin Xiangchen, a master of Xingyiquan, to come to Beishexing to teach Xingyiquan, which made Xingyiquan in Beishexing village even more prosperous. When Prince Hui returned from the Samurai Society, he brought back many of the Society's printed manuals and precious photographs, most of which were later burned during the Cultural Revolution, leaving us with deep regrets in our study of that period of history. The youngest of Wang Zixuan's disciples was Yan Zhongqi, who was later instructed by his senior brother Gao Zhendong, and his boxing style combined the strengths of the two families, and was passed on to many people in the village and Baoding. after the 1950s, he served as a member of the Baoding Wushu Association, a member of the Standing Committee, and as the director of the tutoring station, and he was often hired to teach at Hebei University, Hebei Teachers' College, and other schools, and his disciples numbered thousands of students, and he was recognized as the country's excellent tutor in the wushu style. Yan Zhongqi's heirs are Baoding Wang Yusheng, Zhou Enping, Wang Guangming, Lv Mingjie and the village of Ning Xiaole, Ning Zhiyi, etc., Xingyiquan thus took root in Wen'an Beishexing village, and has flourished to this day. Based on the original foundation, Beishexing Xingyiquan integrates Sun Lutang's Xingyiquan, Gao Zhendong's Wudang Boxing and Li Chunfang's unique boxing, and constantly reforms and innovates, paying more attention to the high degree of unity between internal meaning and appearance, and has a unique way of training in the basic and internal skills, integrating the subtle subtleties and subtleties, further enriching the contents of Xingyiquan and making boxing methods more comfortable. Further enrichment, the boxing is more spacious and generous, strong and powerful, frame neat, obvious techniques, and gradually evolved into the local characteristics of the North Shexing Xingyiquan. At present, in order to make this kind of boxing to carry forward, Xingyi Quan in the local wind and water, many practitioners, has been passed on to the seventh generation, the main heirs are Zhang Haibin, Wang Xiangdong, Li Junxiang, Gao Junhua, Yang Jingwei, Zhao Yangyang, Ning Dabing, Zhao Songzi and so on. They have established the Beishexing Xingyiquan Association, participated in many major martial arts activities at home and abroad, and achieved excellent results, making great contributions in the development and improvement of Xingyiquan.
