Foshan Zhongshan Park is located in the northeastern part of the city on the bank of Fenjiang River.
The park was built in 1928 as a memorial park in honor of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, with only 0.5 hectares at the beginning of its construction. After continuous expansion and reconstruction, the park now covers an area of 28.07 hectares (including 12.5 hectares of water and 15.5 hectares of green space), forming a garden landscape characterized by extensive water features and abundant greenery. The garden is divided into nine scenic spots, including South Gate Square Area, Historical and Cultural Area, Elderly Activity Area, Lawn Area, Lake Area, Children's Play Area, Animal Viewing Area, and Ornamental Rest Area, etc., which are sparsely arranged and blended.
