Speak to Her is a drama film written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar and starring Gavielle Camara and Dario Grandinetti, released on March 15, 2002 in Spain. The film tells the story of two men whose love and friendship, past and future are transformed as they do their best to take care of their two vegetative girlfriends
Mark (Dario Grandinetti) and Benigno (Gavielle Camara) are both y moved before a performance. Tears well up in Mark's eyes and Benigno, sitting next to him, sees it and is struck by some soft emotion in his heart. They thought they were just meeting each other, but they didn't realize that these two men with the same illness would cross paths later on.
Mark's girlfriend, Lydia (Rosario Flores), was a professional bullfighter when an accident in the ring turned her into a vegetable. Now Lydia lies in Benigno's clinic receiving treatment. Mark comes here every day, hoping that Lydia will wake up.
In fact, Benigno has been guarding his love here for four years. The girl, Aricia (Leonor Watling), is a ballet dancer, and Benigno used to live across the street from her studio, where he was secretly in love with Fluttershy every day. When the girl meets with a car accident and becomes a vegetable, Benigno speaks to her every day, believing that her belief that she can hear never wavers in his heart.
The two men, at the moment, both have the same loneliness, the same situation, friendship in the brewing buildup. However, I did not expect that Mark, who had not been away for long, received bad news one after another, and even Benigno, too, was caught up in the whirlpool of fate
