Character Evaluation

Chang Ziyi's performance in "The Grandmaster" was outstanding, both in literature and martial arts; her role as Mr. Gong Er was just like the impression she gave people outside the theater, with a delicate appearance and handsome face, but her eyes showed her stubbornness and perseverance, which seemed to have a mountain-breaking and stone-piercing power in her bones.

And in the movie, Zhang Ziyi's qualities and potential are also shown to the fullest. Zhang Ziyi has reached a point in her acting career where she is not simply expressing her character through her lines and body movements, but has evolved from form to spirit, becoming one with her character and letting her character live in her.

Chang Ziyi, in the movie "My Father's Mother," interpreted the role of Zhaodi in a subtle and colorful way. In the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", as Jade Jiao Long, Zhang Ziyi, beautifully dressed, martial arts, hands and feet lively charm. She well grasped the Jade Jiao Long also good and evil, the pursuit of freedom, emotional delicate personality, portraying the complex emotional world of the character.
