The Xi'an Incident and its peaceful settlement occupy an important historical position in the development of Chinese society and have played an irreplaceable role in the development of Chinese society. Its occurrence and peaceful settlement basically ended the decade-long civil war, greatly encouraged the anti-Japanese enthusiasm of the Chinese people, laid the foundation of the national war of resistance, and became the turning point from the domestic war to the anti-Japanese national war.
