Qilin District is the seat of Qujing Municipal Government and the political, economic and cultural center of Qujing City. The development of history
Qujing County was founded in 19 13, and was named after Quzhou and Jingzhou in the late Han Dynasty. Qujing City was founded in 1983. Legend has it that a unicorn fairy came down to earth to benefit people, so it was called "Kirin City".
