Backstory:
In 1987, Mohe mega-fire, Zhang Dequan old man's beloved wife was unfortunately engulfed in flames, before the tragedy, the two did not have children, his wife left after more than thirty years, Zhang Dequan old man did not remarry. Kang's life loved to dance, the two often slipped into the barn piled with debris when they fell in love, lit a lamp, practicing dance in the small open space, "countless grain powder up and down, like in the two accompanying the dance of the elves". This scene is also the most precious memories of Zhang Dequan's life. Later, not far from the barn, someone opened a dance hall, whenever the night falls, Zhang Dequan will always go to the dance hall alone. The musician Liu Shuang in Mohe during the picking, by chance learned of this story, in the old man's consent, he created the song "Mohe dance hall", this song is dedicated to all the lives lost because of the unfortunate.
Zhang Dequan old man wrote to his wife buried in the fire of the letter:
"Dear Kang, sorry because of the raw points, and then call you Kang, because a long time apart, can not imagine that you have not appeared because of aging and peaceful appearance. If there is a tunnel that leads to another place where I don't sleep day and night, I will drive my dark brown jeep and shake down the creaking brittle frosted from the cold, and I want to show you my unbreakable ceremonial clasp and my thirst for thoughts that has not wavered a single day."
"What makes a man beautiful, and what makes him fade, is it that he has angered the resting gods, or is it that even it is jealous of your beauty, and has descended to your fiery entrance and fiery retreat."
"The dream that haunts me is often of you running among the fire-lit buildings, the fire running up your skirts and swooning on your breasts, and you calling out my name, but I am not with you."
"Sometimes I do take a chance, and rather teach myself to think that you might have succeeded in escaping to the forest to the east, where you built streams and mosses, and disguised yourself as a deer, and danced to your utter heart's content."
