"Blind Bing", a famous folk musician born and raised in Wuxi, who composed the popular erhu song "Reflecting the Moon in the Two Springs" and the pipa song "Zhaojun Goes out of the Frontiers", is known as Hua Yanjun.
Hua Yanjun was born in a Taoist temple since he was a child, and lived his life mainly in the area around Chong'an Temple in the center of Wuxi, thus leaving a very small radius of his life in Wuxi. At present, there are three main places in Wuxi that are listed in the cultural relics protection units: Bing's former residence in Chong'an Temple in the center of Wuxi, Hua Yanjun's tomb in Huang Gongjian of the Xihui Park and the Second Spring of the World site in the Xihui Scenic and Historic Interest Area.
The first place: Ah Bing's former residence in Chong'an Temple in the center of Wuxi CityThis is the place where Ah Bing was born, and also the place where he composed and played music in his whole life. The three erhu songs "Reflecting the Moon in the Two Springs", "Listening to the Pines", and "Cold Spring Breeze Songs", and the three pipa songs "The Great Wave of the Sand", "Dragon Boat", and "Zhaojun Goes out of the Frontiersmen" that he has handed down to the world are all composed here, and it is also the place where he was taught by the professor of the Central Conservatory of Music, Mr. Yang Yinyuan. Liu led the team, with a wire recorder live salvage recording, it can be said that this is the most important place in Bing's life.
As the son of the Taoist priest in charge of the Leizun Hall of Chong'an Temple in the center of Wuxi at that time, the current residence of Ah Bing is the place where he was born. As an adult, Ah Bing inherited his father's mantle and made the Taoist temple his home, where he spent his days playing, and where he eventually fell ill and died; Ah Bing's whole life, basically, never left this place.
The layout of Ah Bing's former residence is divided into two main parts. The first part is rebuilt on the basis of the site of the Leizun Hall, which is now set up as the Bing Memorial Hall, where we are able to fully understand Bing's difficult life, the story of the creation of his main repertoire and the background of the era, in particular, "Two Fountains Reflecting the Moon," which was awarded the "20th Century Chinese Music Classics Award" for its lofty achievements, "Two Fountains Reflecting the Moon," which was recorded for the "Chinese Music Classics Award," and "Two Fountains Reflecting the Moon. The legendary experience of "Two Fountains Reflecting the Moon" being recorded and taken into space by Chang'e 5, as well as the story of the recording site in 1950, the original sound, and the pipa used in the recording, are all first-hand real materials that enable people to perceive a real person. The second part of Ah Bing's former residence is the humble room where he lived and lived, which is arranged according to the original appearance of Ah Bing's death, so that you can see his poor living environment, and you can also see one of the only surviving photographs of Ah Bing.
Huanggongjian Huayanjun's Tomb in Xihui Park"Blind Bing" is the common name for Huayanjun, and his former residence in Chong'an Temple is also called "Bing's Former Residence," but the graveyard and the tombstone above it are formally called "The Folk Musician. "Tomb of Hua Yanjun, the folk musician. After the death of the blind Bing, this is not the first place of burial, but buried in the western suburbs of Wuxi, at the foot of Mount Can, "one and the mountain room" Taoist cemetery, but, due to the important position of Bing in the history of modern music in China, was moved to the Xihui Park, for more people to admire.
Hua Yanjun's tomb is on the west side of Huanggongjian, adjacent to the famous Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period Chu Chunshenjun's drinking place, where there is a full-body statue of blind Bing created by Qian Shaowu, a famous contemporary sculptor, and the cemetery as a whole presents a curved musical stage pattern, and when the azaleas bloom in April every year, the mountains around Bing's tomb are full of mountain red, which is the most important ornamental point of the azaleas in the whole Wuxi area.
Outside the Bing Cemetery, there is now a large "two springs music plaza", every day there are many local people come to sing and dance, playing the zither chanting, which Bing's several tunes are reserved for the repertoire, but also a kind of inheritance of Bing's music it.
The Second Spring in the World and "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon"Blind Bing's famous erhu piece "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" should be the highest achievement of his life's musical creation, and also one of the pieces with the highest degree of circulation. To this day, the ending song of Wuxi People's Radio's daily broadcast is still this song. The most relevant scene of the real life expressed in the tune is the Second Spring under Heaven located in the Xihui Scenic Spot.
