The basic steps of the Fan Yangge Dance are as follows:
1. The basic way to hold the fan: the thumb, index finger and middle finger pinch the end of the fan to hold the fan open, and the big fish can be used to hold the fan bone to hold the fan in place, and the ring finger and pinky finger can be cocked up.
2, vertical fan: the right hand fan, pinch the fan bone, relying on the fan's own gravity to open the fan, the fan is placed vertically in front of the chest or the top of the head; when the fan is opened at the top of the head, the right hand should be through the front of the body, the side of the body upward to the top of the head to open the circle, the fan is slightly backward to pull, the right shoulder to open.
3, horizontal fan: the right hand takes the fan, and pulls it to the position of the five hands through the front and side of the body, the thumb fixes the fan bone, the index and middle fingers push the fan open, and the fan opens horizontally, with the head of the fan pointing downward, and puts it at the side of the body.
4, fan flower: right hand fan in the five hand position, palm up, fan flower face 1 point, with the thumb, index finger and middle finger three fingers to control the fan, rotate the wrist inward a circle and then flipped the wrist, the fan followed by rotating a circle, by flipping the wrist so that the flower face is still facing the 1 point.
The fan dances we usually see on stage are roughly divided into four categories:
1, Jiaozhou Yangge.
2, Yunnan lanterns.
3, Anhui flower-drum lanterns.
4, Northeast Yangge.
Most people in these four categories are more familiar with the Jiaozhou Yangge, one of the three major rice-planting songs in Shandong Province and successfully selected for the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2006.
Today, the fan dance has become a popular form of exercise for middle-aged and older people. The dancers hold feather fans in both hands and wear white clothes, and their movements are often modeled after the flying posture of white pheasants, which is beautiful and soft. The content of the dance is similar to that of the Peacock Dance of the Dai ethnic group, which expresses the peaceful and free life of the farmers and foresters. The Fan Dance is an ancient dance form, and the imitation of the white pheasant is a remnant of the original animal dance, indicating that this dance has an ancient origin.
The fan used in the Fan Dance is the same as that used in square dances, aerobics and rice-planting dance. As for the clothing can be based on the music to determine the ethnic dance costumes, if it is a square dance, the usual comfortable clothes on the line.
