"Blessing"
Singer: Jacky Cheung
Album: Blessing
Composer: Guo Zi
Lyrics: Ding Xiaowen
Friends, I'll always bless you Friends, I'll always bless you
Ah, friends, I'll always bless you
Don't ask, don't tell, it's in my heart
This moment, snuggled in the candlelight, let me see the light of the candle.
When we say goodbye, it's cold and hot, and it's all in our hearts
May my smile stay in our hearts and accompany you through every spring, summer, autumn and winter
Sadly, though we're leaving, saying goodbye, goodbye won't be too far away
If there's a chance, there's a chance that we can look forward to tomorrow, and that you and I can be reunited in a glorious season
Sadly, though we're leaving, saying goodbye, goodbye, goodbye. If there's a chance, we can look forward to tomorrow, when you and I meet again in a glorious season
Say goodbye, goodbye won't be too far away
Say goodbye, goodbye won't be too far away
When there's a chance, we can look forward to tomorrow, when you and I meet again in a glorious season
Sadly, I'll say goodbye. (Saying goodbye, goodbye won't be too far away)
If there is a chance, there is a chance that we can look forward to tomorrow, and you and I will be reunited in the glorious season
Don't ask, don't tell, everything is in plain sight
This is the moment, by the light of the candles, let's spend it quietly
Don't wave, don't look back, when I sing this song
May there be a smile on my heart, to accompany you through every summer, spring, fall, winter, and winter
We will be with you in every spring, summer, fall, and winter
We are the best of all.
Expanded Information:
"Blessings" is Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung's 19th album and his fifth Mandarin album, just nine months after his last Mandarin release, "Kiss Farewell."
Unlike "Kiss Farewell," the album places more emphasis on the original compositions of Hong Kong and Taiwanese songwriters and singers. Songs that were popular for a while included "It's Too Hard to Turn Back", which was specially created for Jacky Cheung by Taiwanese musicians Zhang Yu and Eleven Lang, "The Last Letter", which has tear-jerking lyrics, "The Deeper I Love You, the More My Heart Hurts", which became popular in mainland China, and "Who Wants to Gently Steal My Kisses", which was composed by Tong Ange (Cantonese: "Drunk in the Setting Sun"), among many others.
