It was that one cleaning lady. I only met her once, but her image, the spirit of serving the people is like a sharp knife carved in my heart, giving me a deep impression. In her, I realized many of the truths of life.
Then the first time I saw her, was on the way out of school, when it was pouring rain. The people on the road were all wearing raincoats and holding umbrellas, hurrying home. At this time, I looked at the garbage pile in front of my house, there is a person, there to clean up the garbage, who is there? It shouldn't be the cleaner in such heavy rain, right? With doubts, I walked over. I saw a dusty aunt, wearing a tattered raincoat (water was flowing in through the holes in the raincoat), cleaning up the garbage very seriously. I was amazed, since I was a child, I had never seen a cleaner who could clean the garbage for us so seriously under such heavy rain. He was holding a shovel in his left hand and a broom in his right hand, sweeping the garbage into the shovel with the broom, holding the shovel with the broom; and then "sending" the garbage into the garbage truck with the shovel. I couldn't help but ask: "Auntie! It's raining so hard and you're still cleaning up the garbage? It's okay to come back tomorrow when the weather clears up." Auntie wiped the rain off her body (I couldn't tell if it was rain or sweat at that point) and gave a "hachu". She wiped the rain off her body, (I couldn't tell if it was rain or sweat at that point) and let out a "hachu". Ah! She had caught a cold from the rain! She picked up the broom again, and while cleaning up the garbage, she said to me, in that hoarse voice, "No way! If I don't clean up this garbage quickly today, then there will be more bacteria breeding, and then, the stench is overwhelming, so you back to be affected, but also the cityscape affected ah!" Hearing her words, I asked again, "But you have a cold! Have to go to the doctor to cure ah!" Hearing my words, she seemed to have just remembered her own illness. She smiled and said, "It's okay! My cold only concerns my own health, but cleaning up the garbage concerns everyone's health. Do you think everyone's health or one person's health is important? Of course it's everyone's health! So, I have to clean up some garbage before I go to the doctor!" After saying that, she picked up the broom and shovel again and continued her work.
At this point I froze. There are people who look down on them (cleaning workers) because of their profession, their humble status, and because they are dirty and avoid them when they see them. How great they are in comparison. If there were no more cleaners in the world, the streets and alleys would be filled with garbage. By then, the stench would be overwhelming, and the earth would be like a garbage heap, would it still be beautiful? They are responsible for the beauty of the earth. The cleaning lady just now was like that. When she had a cold, she thought of everyone's health instead of her own. Some people always look at them in a discriminatory way, saying that they are useless, but they don't complain, they still clean up the garbage for us seriously. In this rainy day, in this inconspicuous corner, almost no one will find this "city beautician", and even fewer people come here to praise her, but she is still in that ordinary position to make extraordinary achievements. Her spirit is very admirable, but also very worthy of learning.
Since then, I have never seen her again, but her spirit inspires me. It tells me that people live in the world to contribute to themselves and everyone else.
