Dragon Girl worships Guanyin
Beside Guanyin Bodhisattva, there is a pair of boys and girls, the boy is called Shancai and the girl is called Dragon Girl. The Dragon Girl was originally the youngest daughter of the Dragon King of the East China Sea. She was beautiful and smart, and was deeply favored by the Dragon King. One day, she heard that people were playing with fish lanterns and it was very lively, so she clamored to watch it. The Dragon King stroked his beard and shook his head and said: "The land there is deserted and crowded with people, and this is not a place for your Dragon Princess to go!" The Dragon Girl acted coquettishly and pretended to cry, but the Dragon King always refused. The dragon girl pouted her little mouth and thought to herself: If you don't let me go, I insist on going! After finally waiting until the middle of the night, she quietly slipped out of the Crystal Palace and turned into a very beautiful fisherman girl. She walked under the moonlight and came to the place where the fish lanterns were held. This is a small fishing town, and there are so many fish lanterns on the street! There are yellow croaker lanterns, turtle lanterns, octopus lanterns, cuttlefish lanterns, shark lanterns, as well as lobster lanterns, crab lanterns, scallop lanterns, conch lanterns, and coral lanterns... The dragon girl looked east and west, and the more she looked, the happier she became. , sometimes even forgetting to squeeze into the crowd. After a while, we will come to the crossroads, and it will be more interesting here! Fish lanterns are stacked on top of each other, and mountains of lanterns are connected to mountains of lanterns. They are colorful and dazzling. The dragon girl stood in front of a mountain of lanterns as if in a daze, and she could see that she was in a daze. Unexpectedly, half a cup of cold tea was poured from the attic at this time, and it was poured right on the head of the dragon girl. The dragon girl was startled and cried out in agony. It turns out that the dragon girl who turned into a girl couldn't touch even a drop of water. Once she touched water, she could no longer keep her appearance as a girl. The dragon girl was extremely anxious, fearing that the dragon's shape would appear on the street, causing wind and rain to destroy the lantern festival, so she squeezed out of the crowd at all costs and ran towards the seaside. Just as she ran to the beach, there was a sudden "sudden" sound, and the dragon girl turned into a very big fish, lying on the beach unable to move. By chance, two fishing boys, one thin and one fat, came to the beach. When they saw this big and bright fish, they were stunned. "What kind of fish is this? Why is it lying on the beach?" The fat boy was timid and stood far away and said, "I have never seen such a fish before. I'm afraid it's unlucky. Let's go!" The skinny boy was bold. He refused to leave, and while playing with the fish, he said: "No matter what kind of fish it is, if you carry it to the street and sell it, you can definitely make extra money for your use?" The two of them murmured for a while, then carried the fish and went to the street to sell it. . That night, Guanyin Bodhisattva was sitting in the purple bamboo forest. He had clearly seen what had just happened. Unconsciously, he felt compassion and said to the boy Shancai standing behind him: "Hurry to the fishing town and bring a fish to the fishing town." Buy the big fish and release it into the sea." Shan Cai bowed his head and said, "Bodhisattva, how can I have any money to buy fish?" Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Just grab a handful from the incense burner." " Shan Cai nodded in agreement, hurriedly went to Guanyin Yuan to grab a handful of incense ash, stepped on a lotus, and flew straight to the fishing town. At this time, two boys had already carried the fish to the street, and were suddenly attracted by Guan Yu People gathered around. People were amazed and admired, and people were talking about the price. But no one dared to buy such a big fish. An old man with a white beard said: "Boy, this fish." It's too big. Can you cut it into pieces and sell it for retail? The fat boy thought about it and felt that what the old man said was reasonable, so he borrowed a meat ax from someone and raised it to chop the fish. Suddenly, a child shouted: "Look?" The big fish shed tears. "The fat boy stopped his ax and took a look. Sure enough, the big fish was crying two strings of crystal tears. He was so frightened that he dropped his meat ax and hid in the crowd. The skinny boy was afraid of losing his extra money, so he quickly picked up the meat ax and wanted to chop it, but was chased away by a panting man. The little novice monk who came stopped him: "Don't kill! Don't kill! I bought this fish. When everyone saw it, they were very surprised: "Why did the young novice buy fish?" The old man paused, raised his goatee and said, "If a monk buys fish, is he afraid that he will become a vegetarian?" " Seeing everyone sneering and sneering, the little novice blushed and said quickly: "I bought this fish to release! "As he said that, he took out a handful of broken silver, handed it to the skinny boy, and asked them to carry the fish to the beach. The skinny boy was secretly happy: "I made extra money! Carrying it to the beach, maybe after the little novice monk leaves, he can still carry this big fish back! "He asked the fat boy to pick up the big fish and followed the little novice to the seaside. The three of them came to the beach, and the little novice asked them to put the big fish into the sea. When the fish hit the sea water, it immediately made a splash and swam out of the sea. Far away, he turned around, nodded to the novice monk, and suddenly disappeared. When the thin boy saw the fish swimming away, he gave up the idea of ??making extra money and took out the broken silver to give to the fat boy. He opened his palms and saw that the broken silver turned into a handful of incense and was blown away by a gust of wind. In a blink of an eye, he found the little novice and disappeared. Moreover, since the little princess disappeared in the East China Sea Dragon Palace, there was chaos inside and outside the palace. Into a swarm.
The Dragon King was so angry that his beard stood straight up, the Turtle Prime Minister was so anxious that he stretched out his head and neck, the Gatekeeper Crab General was so frightened that he foamed at the white hair, and the Jade Shrimp Palace Maid was so scared that she knelt on the ground and trembled. The commotion continued until dawn, when the Dragon Girl returned to the Crystal Palace, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. . The Dragon King stared at him and scolded angrily: "How dare you violate the palace rules and go out without permission! Tell me! Where have you been?" When the Dragon Girl saw that the Dragon King was angry, she knew that being coquettish was of no use, so she told the truth: " Father, my daughter has gone to watch the fish lantern. If Guanyin Bodhisattva had not sent the boy Shancai to save me, my daughter would have almost died!" He then told her story. The Dragon King's face turned pale after hearing this. He was afraid that if Guanyin told the story and let the Jade Emperor know about it, he would be blamed. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. In anger, he even kicked her out of the Crystal Palace. The dragon girl was extremely sad. Where could she find shelter in the vast East China Sea? The next day, she came to Lianhuayang crying. The cry reached the Purple Bamboo Forest, and Guanyin Bodhisattva knew it was the Dragon Girl who was coming. She ordered Shancai to pick up the Dragon Girl. Shancai jumped up to Dragon Girl and asked with a smile: "Sister Dragon Girl, do you remember me, a little novice monk?" Dragon Girl quickly wiped away her tears and said with a blushing face: "You are Brother Shancai. ? You are my savior!" He said and bowed. Shancai grabbed her and said, "Come on, Guanyin Bodhisattva asked me to pick you up!" Shancai and Dragon Girl walked into the purple bamboo forest hand in hand. When the dragon girl saw Guanyin Bodhisattva sitting on the lotus platform, she leaned down and worshiped. Guanyin Bodhisattva liked Dragon Girl very much and asked her and Shancai to live in a cave near Chaoyin Cave like brother and sister. This cave was later called "Shancai Dragon Girl Cave". But the Dragon King regretted it and often asked the Dragon Girl to go back. The Dragon Girl was attached to the scenery of Putuo Mountain and never wanted to return to the Crystal Palace where it was imprisoned. From then on, Dragon Girl followed Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Cengang Bai Laolong
There is a bay on the west coast of Zhoushan Island called Cengang. There is a high mountain in Cengang. The mountains and waters pour down, like a hundred-foot white cloth hanging on the cliff. It is really spectacular. Year after year, a deep stone pool breaks out at the foot of the ridge, called "Longtan". Legend has it that a long time ago, there was a white dragon in the pond. Whenever there is a drought, the white dragon envoy absorbs the water from the East China Sea and turns it into sweet rain, which makes the villages with a radius of dozens of miles have good weather and abundant harvests every year. People are grateful for Bai Long and call him "Cengang Bai Laolong". One year, there was another drought. Bai Laolong was about to absorb water and rain. Unexpectedly, the Jade Emperor believed the Dragon King of the East China Sea's greedy words and issued a decree not to allow him to absorb water from the East China Sea again. Bai Laolong had no choice but to swallow his anger and return to Longtan. Along the way, I saw withered and scorched crops and marriages everywhere, which made me feel very sad. While walking, a cry suddenly sounded in my ears. When I got closer, I saw a young woman covered in linen, kneeling on the hot beach, crying in front of the sea. Bai Laolong couldn't help feeling sad after hearing this, so he stepped forward and asked, "Why is my sister-in-law crying here?" The woman wiped away her tears and saw an old man with white beard and white hair and a kind face, looking at him with concern. My heart warmed and I started to cry. It turned out that the woman's name was Qinglian. Her parents died when she was young. Her brother and sister-in-law made the decision to marry a single boy. The couple were very loving. Unexpectedly, the good times did not last long. Less than half a year after their marriage, they encountered a severe drought. There was no hope in the fields, so the husband invited the villagers to go fishing in the sea. Unexpectedly, the first time she went out to sea, something unexpected happened. The boat was capsized by wind and waves, and her husband fell into the water and died. She was left a young widow, helpless and miserable. Bai Laolong was very sympathetic after hearing this, and sighed and said: "Sister-in-law, don't be too sad. Since ancient times, people have not been able to resurrect. If you don't mind, I will help you catch fish for three years." Qinglian was startled, and hurriedly shed her tears and said: " This...how is this possible? As the saying goes, "There is no wind but three feet of waves." How can you bear it at such an old age?" Bai Laolong stroked his white beard and said, "Sister-in-law, don't worry, the old man has his own reasons." He spoke sincerely, and secretly murmured in his heart: "Looking at his appearance, he is probably a man who has suffered a disaster. Why don't I accumulate some virtue and take him in." Then he said: "I have had no father and no mother since I was a child, so let him I accept you as my father!" As he spoke, he kowtowed. Bai Laolong didn't like it very much, so he stretched out his hand to help her up, and said with a smile: "Younger, you don't need to be polite, this old man deserves it!" That night, Bai Laolong started repairing the boat with the tinkling of stars. Qinglian went home, took out a bucket of glutinous rice, and made a basket full of glutinous rice cubes according to Bai Laolong's instructions.
At dawn the next day, Qinglian came to the beach with a basket in hand. She looked left and right, but she couldn't find the broken boat. She was worried, and suddenly she heard someone calling her. When she looked closely, she saw Bai Laolong dripping with sweat from a brand new boat. Climbing out of the boat, he realized that his broken boat had been repaired. He felt happy and grateful. He rushed to greet him and said, "Dad, thank you for your hard work! Let's eat quickly!" Bai Laolong ate the glutinous rice cubes and brought a few fishermen with him. Went out to sea to fish. The fishing boat left the harbor like an arrow and soon reached the East China Sea. Bai Laolong ordered the fishermen to cast the net, but he snored and dozed off with his head on the cabin board. He was snoring and sweating, and huge beads of sweat poured out from his forehead, soaking the deck. The fisherman felt very strange, but he didn't dare to wake him up. After a while, the snoring stopped, and he was heard shouting like a dream: "Hurry up the net! Hurry up the net!" The fishermen heard the sound and hurried to the edge of the boat to pull up the net. Strange to say, a few people pulled a huge fishing net, but it was as light as pulling a silk thread. Pulling, pulling, pulling out of the sea, there was actually a net full of large yellow croakers, all shining with golden light, and their tails were jumping alive. The fisherman was so surprised that he quickly poured the yellow croaker into the cabin. Who knows, pouring and pouring, all three cabins are full, but the fish in the net are not finished yet. The fishermen looked at me and I looked at you, and they were all stunned. In the evening, the fishing boats return home. Qinglian was very happy when she saw that she had caught so many large yellow croakers! Everyone heard that this old man with white beard and white hair was so good at fishing, so they all came over and begged him to be the leader of the group. Bai Laolong stroked his white beard and laughed, fully agreeing. From then on, Bai Laolong led everyone to get up early and catch fish in the dark. Every time I go to sea, I come back with a full load. The fish caught are big and fat. The lives of the villagers are getting better day by day. Half a year has passed in the blink of an eye. One day, Bai Laolong led everyone to go to sea again. Qinglian prepared the glutinous rice cubes that Bai Laolong loved to eat at home, and went to the beach to wait for the boat to come back as usual. Waiting and waiting, until the sun sets and the moon rises, there is still no fishing boat returning. Qinglian was hungry and tired, so she leaned on the rocks and took a nap... Suddenly, she saw her adoptive father, who looked haggard and haggard, walking towards her in a hurry, and said to her full of grief and indignation: "Qing'er, I'm leaving, you Take care! If you miss me, come down to Cengangling. There is a nine-foot-six-foot white cloth hanging in front of my house." After that, he drifted away. " Qinglian stepped forward to pull her, but she was in vain. She suddenly woke up, and realized that it was a dream, and she was confused. Suddenly, she saw the roaring wind on the sea pushing up the big waves like hills. How strong the wind was! All the boat pilings on the shore were blown away and the hardest rocks were shattered. Qinglian stared blankly at the turbulent sea. Thinking of her husband's tragic experience, his face suddenly became angry and his whole body trembled, facing the vast sea and sky. She burst into tears. Day after day, until the morning of the eighth day, the sea calmed down, but the kind-hearted Bai Laolong never came back. Qinglian thought of what Bai Laolong said to her in her dream, and decided to go there. She went down to Gaogang Ridge to look for her adoptive father. She made a basket of glutinous rice cubes that Bai Laolong loved to eat, and said goodbye to the villagers. After walking day after day, passing through one village after another, she finally arrived at the foot of Gaogang Ridge. When I looked up, I could see a vast expanse of land, but I couldn't help but feel a little scared. I suddenly saw a stone pool at the foot of the mountain, with a hundred-foot waterfall hanging on it, like a piece of white cloth floating on it. He took out a piece of glutinous rice and threw it into the pond. After throwing it for a while, he shouted for a while. A wave suddenly appeared in the pond, and a pair of dragon horns slowly appeared on the water. After a jump, he heard a voice coming from the pool: "Don't be afraid, Qing'er, I am your godfather. After hearing this, Qinglian cried sadly: "Dad, why are you like this?" Bai Laolong said: "I am a Bai Laolong here. I didn't expect that by helping people fish, I offended the Dragon King of the East China Sea. I read a book in front of the Jade Emperor, saying that I harmed the water tribe and disturbed the Dragon Palace. The Jade Emperor punished me." Come down and imprison me in this dragon pond without freedom. Hearing this, Qinglian felt extremely angry! She immediately wiped away her tears and sighed angrily: "Alas!" Why do hard-working people suffer and kind-hearted people suffer? What's the point of living in such an unfair world? "After saying that, she poured all the glutinous rice pieces into the pool and jumped in. Qinglian jumped into the dragon pool and turned into a green dragon, following Bai Laolong and disappearing in the clear pool water. Later, the local people made a memorial ceremony to commemorate them. , two clubs were established: one is called the White Dragon Club, and the other is called the Qinglong Club. There is a small meeting every three years, and a big meeting every twelve years. When going out, people beat gongs and drums and carry beautiful green and white dragons. Dragon, traveling through villages and countryside is so lively.
The myth of the return of the wild dragon
It is said that Dayu had three magic weapons to control floods: one was the river map and jade slips given to him by Fuxi; the other was the Yinglong in the sky, which used its tail After marking the land and guiding him in the direction, Yu followed the route drawn by Yinglong and led the migrant workers to dig rivers and divert the floods; third, the giant turtle threw the rocks and soil into the low-lying areas. One day, a black dragon rolled over and rolled in the flood water beside the dam, making waves and knocking down the dam that Dayu and the others had worked so hard to build. Yinglong told King Yu that this was a savage dragon that was too evil and could not return to righteousness. So Oogway led Dayu up a high mountain, and saw the giant black dragon with a pair of dazzling snow-white horns on its head. It was playing and tumbling, making waves that soared into the sky from time to time. Dayu guided it, but it ignored him. Dayu then took out a small colorful breath stone and placed it on the tip of the turtle's tail. The breath stone immediately became a huge boulder. The turtle waved its tail lightly, and a hazy rainbow-like arc was drawn in the sky, and the colorful breath stone landed impartially between the two dragon horns on top of the Oolong's head. Wulong laughed loudly and said, "I can't do anything about this small flowery stone. But the colorful breathing stone is expanding and getting bigger all the time. After a while, it tightened the two-faced and three-sided dragon horns of the wild dragon, and it hurt. It shook its head. The colorful breath stone kept growing, and finally subdued the beast. From then on, the beast became Dayu's right-hand man, at his disposal.
The legend of Longquan Township
p>It is mentioned in "The Legend of Chuanglong" that Longquan Township is somewhere in Qinghai Province. In fact, is there a Longquan Township in Qinghai Province? As mentioned in the previous paragraph, almost every province has a name named "Dragon". ” named place, and there are also several places named after Longquan. Where is Longquan? It is generally believed to be Longquan County in present-day Zhejiang Province. Before the Tang Dynasty, this place was called Longquan Township, and the Tang Dynasty began to establish counties here. The name Longquan comes from a "Longquan Sword". According to the "Yue Jueshu", a history book of the Yue State in the Spring and Autumn Period, there is this record: The King of Chu heard that there was a general in the Wu State and an Ou Yezi in the Yue State, both of whom were famous swordsmiths. So he sent people to pay a lot of money to ask two famous masters to forge some iron swords for the Chu State. After the two applied for the job, they dug through Mount Ci, drained the streams in the mountain, found the essence of iron ore, and cast it into three swords, one called Longyuan, one called Tai'a, and one called Gongbu. Later, to avoid the taboo of Tang Emperor Li Yuan, Longyuan Sword was renamed Longquan Sword. In the Longquan County of Zhejiang Province that I just mentioned, there is a Jianchi Lake to the south of the county. According to legend, it is the place where Ou Yezi forged swords. It is also called Longyuan, so this place is called Longquan. But there are several places also called Longquan. In addition to Longquan County just now, Zhejiang Province also has a Longquan County in Yongjia County. According to the "Shui Jing Zhu", the water pattern in the spring became the shape of a dragon, and livestock did not dare to drink here. There is also a Longquan in Xiping County, Henan Province. Ancient books say that this spring water can sharpen swords and make them sharp. There is a Longquan farm in Jiangxi. It was established as Longquan County in the Southern Tang Dynasty and is now called Suizhou. There is Longquanping in Guizhou, which was also called Longquan County in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and later changed to Fengquan County and Fenggang County. So, is there Longquan Township in Qinghai Province? In the available data, there are none. Maybe there are small villages and townships called this, but whether it can really lead to Kunlun is unknown.
