The Promise is a song sung by Li Yijun, released on 1995 and 1, and included in the album The Promise.
lyrics
I don't understand why the world.
Would make me feel so sad
I don't know. Two people in love
Can't keep a faded promise
I don't understand vicissitudes of life
Can change everything you believe.
I don't believe in sincerity.
You can take it back if you want.
I don't understand the gathering and dispersion of the world.
Just because of our so-called fate
I didn't know that was your excuse.
Or am I too naive about love?
I don't understand eternity.
Waiting needs so much loneliness.
It is you who make my heart ache.
It's getting deeper every day.
Helpless people in the wind
People are in the rain
People wander in the years of love.
You and I can't start from scratch
Cann't stay
Can't resist fate
Trying to break free from the shackles of love
Put out the lamp lit for love.
Broken circle
Broken dream
What's the use of keeping it?
oh
Helpless people in the wind
People are in the rain
People wander in the years of love.
You and I can't start from scratch
Cann't stay
Can't resist fate
Let go of the clenched hand.
Put out the lamp lit for love.
Let love go
Let love have its own freedom.
I don't understand the gathering and dispersion of the world.
Just because of our so-called fate
I didn't know that was your excuse.
Or am I too naive about love?
I don't understand eternity.
Waiting needs so much loneliness.
It is you who make my heart ache.
It's getting deeper every day.
Helpless people in the wind
People are in the rain
People wander in the years of love.
You and I can't start from scratch
Cann't stay
Can't resist fate
Trying to break free from the shackles of love
Put out the lamp lit for love.
Broken circle
Broken dream
What's the use of keeping it?
oh
Helpless people in the wind
People are in the rain
People wander in the years of love.
You and I can't start from scratch
Cann't stay
Can't resist fate
Let go of the clenched hand.
Put out the lamp lit for love.
Let love go
Let love have its own freedom.
