Huaoka Art School has very strict rules, and you have to score 70 or above in conduct. Hwaoka is more of a "technical school"
It is recommended to go for theater, so that you can go to college!!!!
The acting department is "not college oriented" ~~ many people don't know what to do after graduation!
(Unless they are very popular and are tapped to become artists)
Introduction to the Performing Arts Department ~ The Performing Arts Department was established in 2000, and has only been in existence for 8 years, making it the youngest department in the school. The principal, Ms. Ding Yongqing, had the ingenuity to respond to the trend and create the department in the hope that students who are talented or are ready to enter the entertainment industry will be able to learn a more professional knowledge and ability, which will enhance the quality and environment of the entertainment industry. Five years ago, the Performing Arts Department increased the number of classes, according to the principal's instructions to re-plan the art curriculum, according to the training of performers into four groups: 1. dance performance group; 2. music composition group; 3. costume styling design group; 4. make-up styling group.
The first year students start from scratch and learn a wide range of courses, including music, dance, art, painting, drama, singing, etc. After the second year, the students are grouped according to their personal aptitude and individual differences, and then proceed to the last two years of professional learning, with the expectation of achieving the ultimate goal of being able to find a job right after graduation. After the establishment of this program, other schools followed suit and gradually expanded the blueprint of performing arts education. However, as the first performing arts school in Taiwan, this school has the sacred mission of establishing and enhancing the goals of education.
Nowadays, the expansion of Taiwan's television channels, the relative demand for programs has increased greatly, the development of performers can not be delayed, in addition to laying the foundation of performing arts training with a rich curriculum, and to cultivate potential stars of tomorrow, and also invited domestic agencies, music production companies, units, etc. to the school, the school held auditions to prioritize the participation of newcomers to participate in the selection process, and to maintain close relations with agencies to provide students with external publicity and publicity, to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the world. The school also organizes auditions to prioritize the selection of new talent and actively maintains a close relationship with agencies to provide students with opportunities for publicity and exposure, or to allow those who are interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts to be recommended directly by their teachers and teachers to enter the performing arts workplace and make a name for themselves.

Drama ~ Our school was founded in 1975 as the National Drama Department, and since then, there have been teachers without math or specialization who have devoted themselves to experimenting and innovating in teaching methods, and in 1986, in response to social trends, the National Drama Department was transformed into the Drama Department, which has been a fruitful achievement for more than twenty years now. The aim of this department is to cultivate basic talents who have solid original ideas and are proficient in theater performance and stage techniques, based on the inherent cultural background of our country and the compatibility of Western theater trends and theater techniques. Therefore, the goal of the undergraduate program has always been the principle of "compatibility between the East and the West" and "equal emphasis on both ideology and technology".
The curriculum is organized in such a way that it takes into account both the basic subjects of culture and thought and the specialized fields of drama and art: I. Basic subjects: Chinese, English, mathematics, introduction to natural science, history, geography, world culture, introduction to psychology, the Three Principles of the People, introduction to art, local art, computer applications, human relations, law and life, and so on (all of the above are mandatory). II. Specialized Courses: Fundamentals of Acting, Introduction to Theatre, Rehearsal and Performance, Acting Methods, Graduation Production, Introduction to Television and Film Production (all of the above are mandatory); Methods of Playwriting, Improvisation, Introduction to Directing, Vocal Training, Costume and Styling, Make-up Staging, Design and Production, Lighting, Sound, Cinematography, Editing, Theatre Administration, Methods of Singing, Styling, and Improvisation (all of the above are optional). Under the cultivation of this comprehensive curriculum, students of the Drama Department will not only be able to achieve the intended educational goals, but also inject new life into the "Drama" profession in China.
In teaching, in addition to classroom lectures and classroom practice, a more important aspect is "performance teaching". Performances are the life of theater and the overall presentation of the results of undergraduate study. In the first and second years, there is more than one large-scale annual performance each, and in the third year, there is an off-campus graduation performance. The performances are mainly stage dramas, which train students to synthesize their theoretical and practical experience into a complete performance. During the performance, students can see how to use their bodies and language to interpret the joys and sorrows of the world, how to use costumes and styling to strengthen the character, and how to set up the stage, lighting, and sound effects to enhance the infectiousness of the environment. The teaching of performance allows undergraduate students to grow their abilities and develop their horizons, which is of great significance for creativity and innovation.
With its excellent hardware and facilities and strong faculty, this program has produced countless theatrical talents over the years. We hope that in this beautiful environment, our students will acquire a skill that will enable them to serve the community, contribute to society and the nation, and carry forward the vision of our forefathers in establishing the Theatre Specialization.
After graduation, undergraduate students can pursue further education or employment. In terms of further education, they can enter general universities, art colleges, four-year universities and technical colleges, or two-year technical colleges. In terms of employment, after completing three years of study, most undergraduates are engaged in theater-related fields, such as professional theater companies, experimental theater companies, opera and dance troupes, and members of the front of the screen in movies, television, and radio broadcasting. There are also other industries such as the fashion industry, information and communication, entertainment services, education and research.
