Sea fever-an English poem every day

Sea? Love? Sea Fever

I must go down to the seas again,

to the lonely sea and the sky,

How I want to return to the sea again

Back to the lonely sea and sky

And all I ask is a tall ship

and a star to steer her by,

And the wheel's kick and the wind's song

and the white sail's shaking,

And a gray mist on the sea's face,

and a gray dawn breaking.

I just want to sail that tall sailing boat alone

Watch the waves and white sails flying in the song of the wind

Fog and rain filled the sea, revealing a glimmer of dawn

I must go down to the seas again,

for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call

that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a windy day

with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray

and the blown spume,

and the sea-gulls crying.

How I want to go back to the sea again

Listen to the cry of the rushing tide

The call of the wild is so clear that I cannot refuse

The wind dances, the clouds fly, the waves splash,

And the cry of the seagulls is my only thought

I must go down to the seas again,

to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull's way and the whale's way,

where the wind's like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a merry yarn

from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream

when the long trick's over.

I must return to the sea again

Like a gypsy wandering the horizon

Like a seagull, like a whale, the biting wind is like a sharp knife

I just want to laugh and play life like a wanderer ,

Let the fraud dissipate in quiet, sweet dreams
