Tiantou Village has a history of hundreds of years. Because there are unique sandy loam and pure mountain spring water near the foothills of Xianling Banner in the north, the taro produced is large and high in sugar content. It is understood that in Tiantou Village, nearly 80% of families grow Jing Xian taro, which is one of the main sources of income for villagers.

Tiantou village has superior natural conditions and unique soil geology, which is suitable for the growth of betel nut taro. The cultivation of taro in Jing Xian has a long history, which was recorded in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty and widely known. Jing Xian taro is famous for its crispy taste, and it is called "Jing Xian taro". Jing Xian taro production base covers an area of more than 2,000 mu, and most people in the village have planted it.
1972 During Nixon's visit to China, Jing Xian taro was selected as the state banquet and sold to Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia. There is a rumor in the market that "if you buy taro, you buy Jing Xian taro". With the opening of the market, Jing Xian taro has long been regarded as a vegetable supply base in Nanputuo and restaurants in Xiamen.
Jing Xian betel nut taro plantation was established on 200 1 and registered the trademark of Jing Xian taro. In 2002, it was awarded the title of green food by the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2008 and 2009, taro planting in Jing Xian was listed as a pilot project of soil testing and formula fertilization by the Ministry of Agriculture.
