The origin of Mazhuang Village, Quanli Township, Yishui County

The place name comes from the local geography.

According to legend, people with the surnames Geng, Shen, Niu, Zhao and others have settled here since the early Ming Dynasty. The surname Shen moved here from Heshanggouzi, Hongdong County, Shanxi Province in the mid-Ming Dynasty. The "Niu Family Genealogy Stele" records that the Niu family migrated here from Niujiagou during the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty. The village is located on flat land and is surrounded by mountains. It looks like it is in a circle, hence its name. The government is located in the village, hence the name.
