A Dream of a Curtain is a full-length novel by Chinese Taiwanese writer Qiong Yao, written in 1973.
The novel describes the love story between sisters Luping and Ziling and a boy, Chu Lian, and a middle-aged man, Fei Yunfan. The plot of the novel has ups and downs, the psychological descriptions are apt and evocative, and the writing is poignant and touching. A Dream of a Curtain has been adapted into TV dramas many times. Its theme song is "A Curtain Dream", a song sung by Gao Shengmei.

A Dream of a Curtain is a modern romance idol drama based on Qiong Yao's novel of the same name, with some of the characters and plots of her other work The Waves added. It is directed by Cai Yang Ming and Chen Mingyi, scripted by Qiong Yao and Lin Jiuxuyu, and starring Chen Deyong, Qiao Qiang, Liu Dekai, Lin Ruiyang, Liu Yu Ting, Gou Feng, and Li Li Fengyi.
The drama, which aired on March 25, 1996, tells the story of two sisters in the Wang family, Wang Luping and Wang Ziling, and their love entanglements with two men, Chu Lian and Fei Yunfan.
Wang Ziling, the second daughter of the Wang family, has had a crush on Chu Lian since she was a child, and he and Wang Luping have long been recognized by everyone as a pair of male and female talents. Compared to her sister, Luping, Ziling always seems to be a failure.
But after Chu Lian confessed her love to Zi Ling, Chu Lian was ready to show her cards to Luping but there was an accident, Zi Ling was heartbroken and fulfilled the two of them; she herself was united with Fei Yunfan and spent a colorful life abroad.
