Picking Tea Dance is a Jiangnan ditty, a folk song from Zhejiang province, with lyrics and music by Zhou Dafeng, composed in 1958; it was originally the theme song and dance score for the Yueju modern opera Before the Rain, and was later adapted from the song into a dance skit called Picking Tea Dance. Instruments used: wind instrument: flute. Stringed instrument: Erhu. Stringed instruments: yangqin. Pipa and zhongruan are plucked instruments. Percussion instruments: snare drums, gongs, clanging bells, wooden fish.
