Brief introduction of mangshi

Mangshi, the dawn city of Dai language, is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province. It is the seat of Dehong Autonomous Prefecture, the capital of People's Republic of China (PRC), and the political, economic and cultural center of the whole state. It is a typical border county and city of ethnic minorities, mainly including Dai, Jingpo, De 'ang, Achang and Lisu. Mangshi is adjacent to Myanmar with a border of 68.23 kilometers, which is one of the important gateways for China to Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia. The total area is 2987 square kilometers and the total population is 380,000. The municipal government is located in Menghuan Street. Mangshi is the window of western Yunnan, the window of cultural exchange between China and Myanmar, and the gateway of economic interests between China and Myanmar. It is a transportation hub, trade and material distribution center and border port leading to Ruili, Longchuan, Yingjiang, Lianghe and even Myanmar. Mangshi, with rich ethnic customs and beautiful scenery, is praised as "the hometown of peacocks" and "the city of dawn" at home and abroad, and is also the "hometown of covered rice" of Gong Mi, the imperial palace in past dynasties.
