Representative works include "Above the Moon", "I Come from the Grassland" and "The Most Dazzling Ethnic Wind".

Successively won the Baidu Music 10th Anniversary Top Ten Golden Songs Annual Grand Champion, the Most Famous Ethnic Wind Singer Award, and the 11th National Youth Singing Competition Professional Group Seventh Place and other awards.

In 1998, Zeng Yi gave up his regular job to join his best friend who was running the Golden Age cabaret in Shenzhen.

Late in 1998, to the Window of the World, Folk Village and other unsuccessful cultural groups, Yang Wei Linghua, and then came to the Golden Age cabaret to apply for employment, the results were admitted to become a contracted entertainer, and the music director of the cabaret Zeng Yi became a colleague.

Out of love for the Korean singing group Cool Dragon, they decided to rename their group Cool Fire. The group became the mainstay of the performing arts center, and the four-hour nightly performances at the Golden Age Performing Arts Center, choreographed and directed by Zeng Yi, became a signature of the Shenzhen performance market.

The band participated in the "Radio and Television Music Festival New Talent Award" in Guangdong and entered the final round of the competition.

In May 1999, Yang Wei Linghua, Zeng Yi and Zhang Jie formally established the "Hair Nerve Group". Yang Wei Linghua once explained: "Because we just formed a group, if we don't have a loud name for fear that people can't remember it, so we came up with this name "Fat Nerve", which has the meaning of spiritual renewal." Zhang Jie quit the group in 2000.

In early 2003, He Muyang, a Hunan-based musician based in Shenzhen at the time, was looking for a female singer with a strong voice to sing a public service song he had written to fight SARS, and found that the duo's performance format was very special, and created "Above the Moon," which was a pioneering combination of folk music and rap music.

In 2004, Zeng Yi and Linghua signed with Peacock Records, and the group was renamed Phoenix Legends and began their career.
