As the main song of the first album, "Pure Love" won the No.1 spot on the Korean Pop Songs Chart for three consecutive weeks on major TV charts and sold 30,000 copies in 10 days, which is not an easy feat. The success of "Pure Love" set the stage for Ko Yo-Tae's subsequent career. The song remains a classic among Korean commercial dance music classics 10 years later.
The singer
Ko Yeo-tae is a well-known Korean mixed-voice group. Recognized as the "King of Disco" by Korean nationals and the music industry, their albums are always dominated by the dance music style, which is known as the supreme dance music in Korea. Their hot dancing, cool rapping and Shinji's unique high pitched vocals have shaped a different Ko Yeo-tae. His refreshing style of electronic dance music has made him a hit in every Korean discotheque.
Go Yeo-tae debuted in late 1998, taking its name to mean "the sun that shines high. The members have always been one woman and two men. The first members were Cha Sung-min, Kim Koo and female vocalist Shin Ji, who was still in high school in Korea, and since 2004, the members have been Kim Jong-min, Shin Ji and Baek Ja.
