Episode 1
Pretty young Han Ji Eun, a novelist, lives alone in a big house left behind by her father, and the lovers Yang Ji Jin and Shin Dong Wook are Ji Eun's best friends. When Ji Jin becomes pregnant, Dong Wook has no money to raise the child and lies to Ji Eun that she has won a grand prize and can travel to China for free. Ji Eun happily leaves the country and Ji Jin and Dong Wook immediately sell Ji Eun's house. Lee Young Jae, a big star, sits side by side with Ji Eun on the airplane and Ji Eun keeps asking Young Jae questions and ends up spitting all over him, making Young Jae feel annoyed with this uncultured woman. Ji-eun gets off the plane and realizes that no one is there to pick her up. She manages to find the hotel, but realizes that there is no room reserved for her, so Ji-eun doesn't know what to do as she doesn't speak the language. Ji-eun's phone calls to Ki-jin and Dong-wook are never answered and she starts to think that something is wrong. Ji-eun has no money to go back to her country and has no choice but to borrow money from Lee Young-jae, but Young-jae kicks her out. Ji-eun asks Young-jae about Min-hyuk's news and realizes that Young-jae is nervous, so she lies about being Min-hyuk's lover and surprisingly borrows a sum of money from Young-jae. Ji-eun returns home and is surprised to find that the entire house has been emptied. She finds Dong-wook's company and realizes that he actually quit a month ago, and that all of her savings have been withdrawn. Lee Young-jae returns to Korea after shooting a movie in China. He goes to a clothing store to see Kang Hye-won, but he hears Yoo Min-hyuk calling to ask Hye-won out. Young Jae goes to see Hye Won again but sees her hugging Min Hyuk and walks away disappointed. Young-jae calls Ji-eun and asks her out for dinner, saying that he wants to help her and Min-hyuk get back together. Watching Min Hyuk and Hye Won walk in, Ji Eun can't wait to find a hole to crawl into. Young-jae is angry when he realizes that Ji-eun is telling lies, but he gets snubbed by Ji-eun. Someone comes to collect the house and asks Ji Eun to move out immediately. Ji-eun runs to the police station and tries to call the police, but her heart softens when she thinks of Ji Jin's child. The big house has changed owners. Ji Eun fell asleep in front of the door and woke up to find that the new owner of the house was Lee Young Jae.
Episode 2
Ji Eun asks Young Jae to return the house to him, but Young Jae kicks him out. Ji Eun has nowhere else to go, so he sleeps on a chair in front of the door. Young-jae tries to kick Ji-eun out but realizes that she is sick and has to carry her into the house. Ji-eun wakes up cured, and she devours the food, making a mess in Young-jae's kitchen. Young-jae comes back and finds out and gets angry, giving Ji-eun a sum of money and telling her to find another place to live. Ji-eun leaves in anger, but Young-jae feels a little bad about it, and after much deliberation he picks Ji-eun up and makes her work as a nanny for him. Dong Wook goes so far as to open another credit card in Ji-eun's name and the bill comes in the mail, making Ji-eun angry. She hears that someone has seen them at the gynecologist's office, so she goes there to wait. Ji Eun finally finds Ji Jin and Dong Wook, only to have them trick her into running away again. Young-jae plans to propose to Hye-won, but Hye-won is called away by a phone call from Min-hyuk and tells Young-jae that the person she likes is Min-hyuk. Ji-eun picks the ring Young-jae threw away in the trash can and tries to return it, but Young-jae angrily throws it out the window. Ji-eun goes to the publisher with her novel, but it is not well received. Young Jae's news about wanting to get married is published by a reporter, making him annoyed. Ji-eun sees Young-jae's invitation and knows that there will be a lot of publishers attending that party, so she begs Young-jae to take him with her, but Young-jae refuses, so she has to steal the invitation and run off to the party by herself. Ji-eun meets Min-hyuk at the party and tells him about her desire to find a publisher, Min-hyuk says he can help and Ji-eun gushes to Min-hyuk about her novel. Hye Won is upset to see Min Hyuk and Ji Eun together. Hye Won confessed her love to Min Hyuk but was angry when Min Hyuk rejected her. Hye Won thinks it's because of Young Jae that Min Hyuk doesn't accept her and runs to Young Jae to confront him about it, but Young Jae suddenly confesses his love to Ji Eun and announces that they will be getting married soon.
Episode 3
Young Jae tells Ji Eun that he wants to hire her as his wife and will give her the house as compensation after the divorce, and the two of them sign an agreement. Young Jae and Ji Eun hold a press conference to announce their marriage. Ki Jin and Dong Wook come to congratulate Ji Eun after reading the newspaper report, but Ji Eun beats them up, but Ji Eun forgives them in the end. Young Jae's father also read the report and he called Ji Eun to his home to see what his future daughter-in-law is like. Young-jae's grandmother doesn't really like this poorly educated and inarticulate girl. Young Jae arrives to take Ji Eun away and Ji Eun advises Young Jae that he should be nicer to his family, but is kicked off the bus halfway. Young Jae turns back to look for Ji Eun but doesn't find her and waits worriedly at home for Ji Eun's return. Ji-eun limps home, feeling aggrieved, and hides at Ji Jin and Dong Wook's house with her luggage, but in the end, she is betrayed by them and is tricked into marrying Young Jae at a hotel. Young-jae and Ji-eun start their honeymoon trip, but Young-jae teases Ji-eun along the way, pushing her into the water, not letting her sleep in the house, and not allowing Ji-eun to eat at the same table with him. ...... But in the end, Young-jae has a conscience and invites Ji-eun to go sight-seeing with him, and even teaches Ji-eun how to ride a bicycle. When Young-jae and Ji-eun return to Korea from their honeymoon, Hye-won calls to ask Young-jae to be her model for a clothing advertisement, but Young-jae refuses. Hye-won found Young-jae's house and saw Young-jae teaching Ji-eun how to ride a bicycle.
Episode 4
Ji Eun receives a call from the publisher thinking that her novel is about to be ready for publication, but she doesn't realize that they want her to write about Young Jae's private life, and she angrily asks for the manuscript back. Ji Eun goes to Min Hyuk and leaves the book manuscript with him. Ji Eun and Young Jae fight again and Ji Eun moves back in with Ji Jin and Dong Wook in a huff. The story of Young Jae and Ji Eun's incompatibility is reported, making Young Jae's manager angry, and she hopes to try to salvage the matter. Hye Won asks Young Jae out and hopes that Young Jae never forgets her. When Ji Eun sends sushi to Young Jae while he is shooting a clothing ad for Hye Won, Young Jae's manager arranges for a reporter to take pictures of the two in love, defusing the rumored marital crisis. However, Ji Eun feels bad when she hears that her work is being evaluated badly. Ji-eun wants to go to an amusement park for her birthday, and Young-jae wants to go with her but can't say so. Min Hyuk calls to ask Ji Eun to meet him and says he wants to ask him to write a novel, making Ji Eun very happy. Min-hyuk asks Ji-eun to buy him dinner to celebrate, and when he sees Ji-eun in a difficult situation, Min-hyuk thoughtfully pays the bill. Young Jae sneaks to the amusement park to look for Ji Eun, but is spotted by the fans and ends up being blocked in the restroom and has to call the company for help. Young Jae is a little upset when he sees Min Hyuk sending Ji Eun back. Ji-eun finds out that Young-jae went to the amusement park, but Young-jae denies that he went there because he wanted to see Ji-eun. To celebrate Ji Eun's birthday, Young Jae and Ji Eun go ice skating together and have a great time. Ji Eun happily tells Young Jae that she's signed a contract and finally has people's hearts to enjoy her novel. Young Jae buys a recorder and gives it to Ji Eun as a birthday gift and Ji Eun is happy to see it. At that moment, Young-jae's family suddenly arrives and asks Ji-eun to move out immediately.
Episode 5
Young Jae's grandmother asks Young Jae and Ji Eun to move in together, making it difficult for Ji Eun. Young Jae's manager hints that Young Jae is in love with Ji Eun, but Young Jae denies it. Ji Eun rushes Young Jae back and tells him that Grandma wants them to move in together and they go to Grandma right away to settle the matter. Grandma is very critical of Ji-eun, but Ji-eun dances and sings "Three Bears" to make Grandma happy, but only Young-jae's father applauds in appreciation. Young-jae sees Ji-eun falling asleep on the table and tucks her in, but when Ji-eun realizes it, she acts mean and pushes her to clean up. Ji-eun accidentally loses the birthday gift Young-jae gave her on the way and is anxious. When Min-hyuk finds out about it, he wants to give her one just like it, but Ji-eun refuses after thinking about it. Ji-eun tells Young-jae that she lost her recorder and Young-jae is angry, but seeing Ji-eun's sadness, he decides to take Ji-eun with him to buy another one. Hye Won's love for Min Hyuk was rejected again. Hye-won is upset and asks Young-jae to come with her. Young-jae drops Ji-eun off halfway and makes an appointment to meet her in front of the mall at 7:00 p.m., and then comes to Hye-won's side right away. While Young-jae stayed late with Hye-won, Ji-eun waited for Young-jae in front of the mall. Ji-eun has a big fight with Young-jae the next morning because she couldn't wait for him last night and runs away from home again. However, Ji Jin and Dong Wook went to look for Ji Eun. Ji Jin and Dong Wook make a mess in Young Jae's house and make Young Jae angry. Ji Jin hits Young Jae without reason and Ji Eun, who has just entered the house, sees this and angrily kicks them out. Young-jae asks Ji-eun to go to the movies, which makes Ji-eun happy. However, on the way back, Young-jae learns that Hye-won is sick and immediately runs to the hospital, which makes Ji-eun a little sad.
Episode 6
Hye-won was admitted to the hospital and Young-jae was worried about her. Young-jae sent Ji-eun home and secretly went to the hospital to see Hye-won. Ji-eun couldn't sleep when she saw Young-jae go out and waited for Young-jae to come back, so she fell asleep. Ji-eun wakes up early in the morning and sees Young-jae making congee and finds it strange that Young-jae is preparing breakfast for Hye-won. Ji-eun asks him sourly if he would take care of himself like this if he were sick. Ji-eun goes to bring Hye-won food and Hye-won is ready to be discharged from the hospital. Grandma calls and asks Ji-eun to come over, and while Ji-eun is hoeing Grandma suddenly faints, and Ji-eun stumbles and carries Grandma into the house. Young-jae is upset about Hye-won, and Ji-eun tells jokes to make Young-jae happy, but Young-jae doesn't appreciate it. Ji-eun notices that Young-jae left the house without his ring and reminds him to put it on. Young Jae accidentally left his ring at Hye Won's place when he was changing his clothes and Ji-eun asked Young Jae anxiously when she saw that the ring was missing from his hand. Young Jae called Hye Won to ask about the ring but couldn't get it out. Ji-eun gets angry and wants to run away from home again but has nowhere to go. Min Hyuk is still not too happy with Ji Eun's novel, so he takes Ji Eun out to teach him how to observe people and compliments Ji Eun on being a very sweet woman. Ji Jin and Dong Wook sneak into Ji Eun's house again and overhear their agreement and threaten Young Jae and Ji Eun with it. Ji-eun claims to call the police to calm the matter down, and she arranges for Dong-wook to work at Young-jae's company, but will deduct 40% of his salary each month as compensation. Ji-eun and Young-jae hang up their wedding photos while arguing. Hye-won calls and when Ji-eun asks about it, Young-jae lies that it's from his company.
Episode 7
Ji Eun analyzes Young Jae's character the way Min Hyuk taught her, and it's quite sweet. Young Jae goes to see Hye Won, who returns the ring to Young Jae and tells him that she is jealous of Ji Eun. Young Jae promises Hye Won that he will never give up on her. Ji-eun was angry to learn that Young-jae went to see Hye-won again and declared that she would never ask about each other's personal matters again. Ji-eun is called by her grandmother to go to a painting exhibition and stays with Young-jae's family for dinner and a card game. The family has a great time and Ji-eun stays at Young-jae's house for the night. Young-jae is uneasy when he can't find Ji-eun at night, so he calls her and talks to her about the past. Ji-eun learns that he has a sister who died of an illness and that he has been in love with Hye-won for a long time. Young-jae is always bossing Ji-eun around and torturing her for fun, and eventually makes Ji-eun cry, so he has to sing "Three Little Bears" to cheer Ji-eun up. Young-jae invites Ji-eun to the premiere of his movie. Ji-eun goes to Min-hyuk's place to hand in her book and Min-hyuk drops Ji-eun off at the movie theater. Hye Won was not happy to see Ji Eun and Min Hyuk together. Ji Eun approached Hye Won for negotiation and Hye Won said she would compete with her to see who wins Young Jae's heart earlier. Young Jae was disappointed when he didn't see Ji Eun at the premiere. When the movie ended, Young Jae was going out with Hye Won but met Ji Eun in the parking lot. Ji Eun asked Young Jae to go back with her but Young Jae took Hye Won with him and left, making Ji Eun very sad. Young Jae and Hye Won had a good time and Hye Won told Young Jae that her wish is to be a good wife and mother. Ji-eun waits at home for Young-jae to come back and tells Young-jae that she is in love with him, but Young-jae takes Ji-eun's words as a joke.
Episode 8
Young Jae and Hye Won get suspicious and Young Jae tries to avoid seeing Hye Won. Young-jae tells Ji-eun that a reporter will come to his house for an interview, but when Ji-eun learns that the interview was arranged on purpose because of the rumors about Young-jae and Hye-won, she refuses to be interviewed. Young-jae had to take care of all the chores in the house to get Ji-eun to do the interview. Ji-eun and Young-jae act close and affectionate in front of the reporter, and when the reporter asks about Hye-won, Ji-eun says that Hye-won is a good friend of theirs, which defuses Young-jae's embarrassment. Hye-won asks Young-jae out again and expresses her dependence on Young-jae, leaving Young-jae's heart in turmoil. Ji-eun delivers a book manuscript to Min-hyuk, who invites Ji-eun to go to the movies with him and tells Ji-eun that he likes her as if it were nothing. Dong Wook tells Young Jae that Ji Eun and Min Hyuk went to the movies together. Young Jae gets angry and lies to Ji Eun that her grandmother is sick and tells her to come back right away. When Young-jae finds out about Min-hyuk's birthday, he asks Ji-eun out for dinner. Young-jae obstructs her by listing out a long list of work assignments and stipulating that Ji-eun can't go out until she's done all of them. Facing Young-jae's unreasonable demands, Ji-eun had to sneak out and Young-jae was furious when he didn't catch up with Ji-eun.
Episode 9
When Min-hyuk drops Ji-eun off, Ji-eun says she will be there for Min-hyuk when he needs her, which makes Min-hyuk very happy. Young Jae waits anxiously at home for Ji Eun to return. Ji-eun joked to Young-jae that she would accept Min-hyuk, and Young-jae was angry to hear that. Young Jae goes to Min Hyuk the next day and warns him not to toy with Ji Eun, but Min Hyuk warns Young Jae to treat Ji Eun well and not to show any signs of weakness. Young Jae warns Ji Eun to be careful of Min Hyuk and says that Min Hyuk is a playboy, which Ji Eun is very unimpressed with. Young Jae decides to invite Min Hyuk to his home and Ji Eun can't cook so she has to ask her grandmother for help. In fact, Grandma doesn't know how to cook, but she copied some recipes and lied to Ji-eun. Ji-eun is angry, so Grandma has to sing "Three Little Bears" to make Ji-eun happy. Min-hyuk meets Ki-jin on his way to Young-jae's house, and Ki-jin accidentally reveals that Young-jae and Ji-eun have signed an agreement. Young Jae purposely acted friendly with Ji Eun in front of Min Hyuk and lied about Ji Eun's pregnancy, which Min Hyuk could not figure out. The next day Ji-eun goes to deliver a book manuscript to Min-hyuk and Min-hyuk intentionally acts cold to Ji-eun. Hye Won asks Min Hyuk to meet him and tells him that she has decided to give up on him. Young-jae asks Ji-eun out to dinner but misses the appointment because he went to see Hye-won. Ji-eun waits until the restaurant closes and gets very angry. When Young-jae returns early the next morning, Ji-eun yells at him and says she will never wait for him again. Ji-eun runs out of the house in a huff, and when it suddenly starts raining heavily outside, Young-jae is worried but can't find Ji-eun. Ji Eun has nowhere else to go, so she turns to Min Hyuk for help. Min Hyuk tells Young Jae that Ji Eun is at his house and announces to Young Jae that he will get Ji Eun back.
Episode 10
Young Jae immediately runs to Min Hyuk's house to bring Ji Eun back, only to find Ji Eun sick and he waits by her side all night. Grandma called Ji-eun over again and realized that Ji-eun had a bad appetite and hurriedly dragged her to the doctor. Grandma thinks Ji-eun is pregnant, but is disappointed that it's just a cold. In order to make Ji-eun pregnant, Grandma gave them a lot of tonic medicine. Young-jae makes Ji-eun angry by saying something wrong again, so he sings "Three Bears" to cheer her up. Ji Eun is worried when Ji Jin tells Ji Eun that she told Min Hyuk about the marriage agreement and immediately asks Min Hyuk out to test his words. Min Hyuk accompanies Ji Eun for a day of shopping and the two have a great time, Min Hyuk asks Ji Eun to consider being with him. Dong Wook told Young Jae that Min Hyuk might have known about the marriage agreement, making Young Jae worried. Young Jae looks around for the marriage agreement but can't find it, so he tells Ji Eun that he wants to sign a more specific agreement and extend the time to three years. Dong Wook calls Ji Jin to mention the marriage agreement and is overheard by Hye Won, who goes to ask Ji Eun for confirmation and Ji Eun tells her that Young Jae married himself because he liked Hye Won so much. Ji Eun tells Young Jae that Min Hyuk likes her and asks Young Jae if she can like him too.
Episode 11
Young Jae tells Ji Eun that she can like Min Hyuk, and Ji Eun is a little lost in her heart. Min Hyuk compliments Ji Eun on her increasingly better novel writing and Ji Eun is happy to hear it. Ji Eun tells Min Hyuk that she has extended her contract with Young Jae and hints to Min Hyuk that she is in love with Young Jae. The movie starring Young Jae is not well received and Young Jae stays home most of the time. He sees that Ji Eun is always busy writing and ignores him, so he pretends that his finger is cut off to tease her, but he can't bear to see Ji Eun's anxious look. Ji-eun goes to see her grandmother and finds Hye-won there and is a bit disappointed. Hye-won tells Ji-eun that she will wait for Young-jae to come back to her. Ji-eun suddenly obeys Young-jae's orders completely, which makes Young-jae a bit strange. Ji-eun says that since they won't be together for the rest of their lives, she'll be nicer to Young-jae now, and Young-jae is a little saddened to hear that. Young Jae makes the house look nice and wants to surprise Ji Eun, but Ji Eun goes to dinner with Min Hyuk. Ji-eun tells Min-hyuk that she likes him a little bit. Ji-eun went home late on purpose to punish Young-jae and was touched to see all the things Young-jae had prepared for her. Ji-eun told Young-jae that she wanted a divorce because she didn't want Hye-won to wait for Young-jae for three years. Young-jae was angry and Ji-eun had to tell him that she loved him too much and didn't want to continue like this, and hoped that Young-jae would be able to get together with Hye-won as soon as possible. Young Jae finally realizes Ji Eun's feelings and agrees to divorce.
Episode 12
Young Jae is sad to leave Ji Eun, but decides to move out and leave the house to Ji Eun. When the newspapers start to report on Young Jae, Young Jae's manager is surprised to hear about their marriage agreement and talks to Ji Eun and Hye Won separately. Ji Eun decides to call off the divorce for the sake of Young Jae's career, Young Jae thinks that Ji Eun is playing a trick on him and gets very angry, but Young Jae also tells Ji Eun that he can't bear to see her go. Young-jae thinks that Ji-eun is trying to run away because the chores are too heavy and takes on all the housework, much to Ji-eun's surprise. Ji Eun tells Min Hyuk that she has decided not to divorce Young Jae so as not to deal a blow to his career. Min Hyuk asks Young Jae out and warns him to give up on Ji Eun and stop upsetting her. Young Jae starts pulling Ji Eun for morning exercise and sends a lot of flowers to Ji Eun, hoping that she won't be sad in the future. Hye Won comes to see Young Jae and gets angry and runs away when she sees him and Ji Eun being so in love. Young-jae tells Ji-eun that his sister died of an illness a long time ago and his relationship with his father has gotten worse since then. Young-jae adds that he cares for her and doesn't want her to get hurt, so he has to go back to Hye-won.
Episode 13
Young Jae tells Ji Eun that he is moving out next week and Ji Eun is sad and asks Min Hyuk to go drinking with her. Ji Eun drinks until late and Young Jae has been waiting anxiously at home. Ji Eun told Young Jae that she will always keep him and Young Jae was touched to hear that. Young Jae started to think of ways to torture Ji Eun again so that she could leave him earlier. Young Jae's manager warned Young Jae that his acting career would probably end if there were any more rumors, but Young Jae decided to move out anyway. Ji-eun also warned Young-jae that his career might be over if he keeps spreading rumors, but Young-jae didn't listen to her and said that they should not ask each other about their personal lives anymore. Young Jae continues to meet with Hye Won and Ji Eun often goes to Min Hyuk to complain. Ji-eun and Min-hyuk ran into Young-jae and Hye-won while they were eating together, and it was a bit awkward for the four of them to sit together. Min Hyuk sends Ji Eun back and asks Ji Eun to go on a trip with her. Young Jae is sad to see Ji Eun go but acts as if nothing has happened. Young Jae keeps calling Hye Won's name as Ji Eun on the way, which makes Hye Won feel bad. When Young Jae returned home, he was sad to see Ji Eun gone and asked Hye Won to drink with him. Hye Won told Young Jae that she actually knew that Young Jae had been in love with Ji Eun for a long time and decided to let go of him so that he could be with Ji Eun. Ji-eun can't let go of Young-jae and doesn't go on the trip. Min-hyuk sends Ji-eun back and comforts her, and Young-jae is very lost when he sees the two of them being close and thinks that they've taken their relationship a step further.
Episode 14
Ji Eun is happy to find out that Young Jae hasn't moved out. Min Hyuk comes to see Ji Eun, but Young Jae opens the door and lies that Ji Eun is not there, making Ji Eun angry. Young Jae was upset when he watched Ji Eun and Min Hyuk talking to each other. Min Hyuk wants to take Ji Eun out, but Young Jae asks Ji Eun to stay on the pretext that he wants her to cook, but Ji Eun agrees to Young Jae's unreasonable request in the end. Young Jae's father also saw the report and came to confront them and told Ji Eun to leave Young Jae. Ji-eun runs to her grandmother to beg her forgiveness, but she doesn't want to see her at all, which makes Ji-eun very sad. Ji-eun tells Young-jae that it's painful to be with him, and Young-jae decides to give up on Ji-eun and let her go find her own happiness. Ji-eun tells Hye-won that she and Young-jae are about to break up, but Hye-won tells Ji-eun that Young-jae actually really likes Ji-eun. Young-jae moves out and holds a press conference, announcing that his favorite person is Ji-eun, but decides to divorce her for her happiness.
Episode 15
A few years later, Ji-eun has become a strong, independent and accomplished novelist. Min-hyuk comes to visit her from time to time, but Ji-eun has never said yes to Min-hyuk's marriage proposal. Ji-eun's novel will be adapted into a play, and she feels that Young-jae would be best suited for the role. Young-jae hides at the temple and doesn't see anyone, so Dong-wook has to lie that Ji-eun is sick to try to trick him into coming back. Grandma has refused to understand Ji-eun and says she can't forgive her unless she convinces Young-jae to apologize to her father. Young Jae rushes back immediately, worried about Ji Eun's condition, and Ji Eun gets angry and kicks him out. Young Jae pretends to leave and is touched to see Ji Eun anxiously searching for him. Young Jae goes to apologize to his father and admits that he is in love with Ji Eun and will marry her. Young Jae buys a ring and wants to propose to Ji Eun, but Min Hyuk suddenly arrives. Min-hyuk and Ji-eun persuade Young-jae to take their movie, but Young-jae doesn't say yes. Min Hyuk told Young Jae that he had proposed to Ji Eun, but she didn't say yes. Young-jae persuades Ji-eun to accept Min-hyuk, then leaves a note and walks away. Ji Eun told Min Hyuk that she still loved Young Jae and asked Min Hyuk to give up on her. Ji Eun returned home and was very happy to see Young Jae, who took out the ring and proposed to Ji Eun.
Episode 16
Ji Eun tells Young Jae that she has to think about it before she can decide whether or not to accept his proposal, making Young Jae anxious. Young Jae breaks Ji Eun's computer and makes Ji Eun angry and wants to kick him out, but seeing that Young Jae has nowhere else to go, she decides to hire him as her nanny.
