Can't stand the back pain? What actions are there to treat lumbar muscle strain?

Lumbar vertebra is located between the stable thoracic vertebra and pelvis, which is the midpoint of human body, and receives the maximum shear stress during exercise. In the whole S-shaped spine, the lumbar spine is located at the base and bears the greatest work and labor gravity.

Many lumbar muscles (posterior lumbar fascia, sacrospinous muscle, multifidus muscle, anterior quadratus lumborum muscle, transverse spinous muscle, etc. ) are attached to the transverse process of the lumbar spine. Bend over for a long time, relax the abdominal muscles, and the weight of the upper body is borne by the lumbar muscles. The part attached to the transverse process muscle is constantly subjected to excessive traction tension, which will cause lumbar muscle strain for a long time, causing inflammatory exudation, congestion and swelling of local tissues, and then aseptic synovium and fibrous tissue will appear.

In addition to sedentary, the waist is overloaded for a long time (such as those engaged in heavy manual labor) or local muscles, ligaments and other tissues are damaged after acute sprain of the waist. If the treatment is not timely or improper, the injury will not be recovered, which will lead to chronic injury and lumbar muscle strain.

With these four senses, most of them are caused by lumbar muscle strain.

1. Low back pain or swelling pain, local tingling or burning pain. The pain point can be confined to one part or spread all over the back. Individual patients will be accompanied by lower limb traction pain.

2. Pain often recurs and will change with the climate and fatigue. Generally, fatigue is aggravated and relieved at rest; Appropriate activities and frequent position changes are relieved, and overactivity is aggravated; The weather will get worse when it is cold and wet, and it will get lighter in warm and dry seasons.

3. There is tenderness in the waist, mostly at the sacrospinous muscle, at the back of the ilium, at the stop of the sacrospinous muscle behind the sacrum or at the transverse process of the lumbar spine.

4. Some patients will have muscle spasm, and a few of them have limited waist activity, so they can't persist in bending over to work, and they need to hammer their backs with both hands to relieve the pain.

An acute attack of pain requires bed rest. We should improve our working posture at ordinary times, avoid sitting for a long time, and try to avoid excessive waist load. The most important thing is to strengthen the exercise of back muscles and abdominal muscles, improve muscle tolerance and relieve pain.

1. Lie on your back and bend your knees.

Lie on your back, bend your knees, keep your legs as close to your chest as possible, hold your calves with your hands and relax your back muscles. Hold 10 second, 30 times as a group, once in the morning and once in the evening.

2. Back Bridge Practice

Lie on your back, put your feet, shoulders and head on the bed, lift your abdomen upward, keep it at the highest position for 30 seconds, and slowly put it down. Repeat for 5- 10 times as a group.

upthrust

Take a prone position, keep the pelvis close to the bed surface, gently lift the upper body with both hands, and keep the waist and buttocks relaxed during this process. Keep this posture 1 sec and repeat 10 times.

Lie on your back and tuck in your abdomen.

Take the supine position, bend your knees, cross your hands on your chest, and gently lift your upper body out of bed. Hold it for 2 ~ 4 seconds, then gently level it to the starting position, and repeat 10 times.

Lift your back legs.

Lie on your back, keep your waist close to the bed surface, straighten one lower limb, and slowly raise it by 20 ~ 30 cm. Keep raising the lower limbs for about 10 second, then slowly lower them, and repeat 10 times.

The above actions, done once before going to bed and once every morning, have a good effect on relieving the pain caused by lumbar muscle strain. At the same time, take some traditional Chinese medicines, such as Yaotongning, to eliminate inflammation and edema of surrounding soft tissues, so as to achieve analgesic effect.
