Essay "A Letter to Dad

Dear Dad:

You have worked hard!

I have a lot of words in my heart that I want to say to you, but I have never had the chance. Today, I want to use this special way of writing a letter to say the words hidden in my heart for a long time.

Daddy, in my heart, you are a great father, and a kind father. You not only work early in the morning and late at night, but every day you will make breakfast for me and my mom, and then pick me up and drop me off as always, rain or shine. For me, for the sake of this family, you have paid a lot, a lot. Although you didn't say your love like your mom did, I know that you are always holding me and loving me. I can't imagine how I would have lived without you.

Dad, do you remember? That day, I did something bad and was beaten up by my mom. The next day, you saw that I was still as sullen as ever, so you made a game of magic with me. You first let me close my eyes (to tell you the truth, in fact, I did not close my eyes tightly), so that I could not see your "secret", and then you prepared the paper folded, making a hole a little smaller than a dollar coin. "The magic begins!" You demonstrated that the coin could not fall through the hole. I stare intently at the paper as you slowly, slowly move the coin down the center of the paper, and just as I blink, you quickly pour the coin through the crack in the paper. "It was too fast, I didn't see it! Start over." I yelled at you, rubbing my eyes again. You slowed down and showed me again. Now I really believed you had Harry Potter-like magic. "That kind of stuff only fools kids." Mom said while laughing. Suspicious, I snatched your paper and saw your trick - it turned out that you had cracked a thin slit on each side of the hole. At first glance, it wasn't really noticeable. While I gloated over this momentous discovery, you feigned innocence.

I still find it funny when I think about it. Dad, maybe you've forgotten all about it, but how could I? How could I forget everything you did for me?

Dad, I love you! In my mind you are a good father, but I have a small dissatisfaction with you - every time you go out to socialize, you always drink a crooked back, followed by vomiting, stomach pain. Dad, every time I see you like this, my heart hurts, you know? This is not good for your health at all. Every time I talk to my mom about you, you always say, "You can't help it. But I still think health is the most important thing. Dad, change this bad habit, okay? My daughter wants a dad who is always healthy!

Wish dad happy and healthy every day!
