Cultivation Direction
The Department of Music is one of the departments affiliated with Zhongge Art College. It was established in September 2003 and enrolled students nationwide that year. The department has three teaching and research departments: Vocal, Keyboard, and Music Theory. There are three specialties: Voice (American, Ethnic, Popular), Music Education (including Piano, Strings, Ethnic Instrumental, Percussion, Electroacoustic), Keyboard. The teaching purpose of the Department of Music is to cultivate well-rounded musical and artistic talents.
The Department of Music has a strong faculty, with 32 full-time teachers, including 9 professors, including the famous baritone singer Liu Bingyi as the department's honorary professor of vocal music, the national-level actor and tenor singer Lv Jinhe, the famous vocal music educator Prof. Wang Shixue, Prof. Lee Guei Zhi, Prof. Au Yun Album, and Prof. Dong Wo Gang; instrumental music has the famous violinist, educator, and the former chief national-level performer of the General Government Opera and Dance Troupe, Zeng Zhen. In instrumental music, there are famous violin player, educator, former chief of the General Political Bureau of the national level performer Professor Zeng Minxin and violin player, national level performer Professor Yang Chengxiang; keyboard majors have a long-time professor of Ukrainian piano; and theoretical composers Professor Liu Qingxin; they are the backbone of the department's teaching, and they have a wealth of experience in teaching and artistic practice. There is also a group of vigorous, young and middle-aged teachers from major conservatories across the country with rich teaching experience and high professional level.
The department has modern teaching facilities of a high standard: two electric piano classrooms and 203 piano rooms, each equipped with air-conditioning and good sound-proofing facilities, as well as a concert hall that can accommodate thousands of people.
Established 10 years ago, the Department of Music has achieved fruitful results in teaching: in late December 2003, sponsored by the College of Fine Arts, the Department of Music hosted the "Hanhai Rising Sun" to welcome the Chinese New Year Arts and Cultural Evening in the Zhanjiang Ocean University Center Square performance was a great success. In 2004, the students of the department participated in the National Pop Singer Competition organized by the China Song and Dance Troupe, and achieved the combination of the Gold Award, the Rookie Award and a number of outstanding singers. The department's student band to participate in the western region of rock and roll competition won the first runner-up, to participate in the Guangdong Province, Zhanjiang City, the first and second place in the art song singing competition in colleges and universities, and won the third prize of the Guangdong provincial final two times. in May, the department hosted the World Water Skiing Championships Asia-Australia regional final closing ceremony of the performance. in August to participate in the National Popular Singers Competition organized by the Chinese Institute of Ethnic Minorities was awarded Top Ten Singers Award for two times.
Music Education Direction
The undergraduate program is a four-year course.
Major courses: voice, piano, chorus and conducting, dance, audio-visual training, basic music theory, harmony, composition and work analysis, polyphony, song writing, introduction to folk music, Chinese music history, foreign music history, appreciation of Chinese and foreign masterpieces, music pedagogy, music education theory, music aesthetics and so on.
Vocal Music (Ethnic, American and Popular)

Composition

Instrumental Music
The undergraduate program is four years.
Major courses: major courses, solo, ensemble, repertoire, piano, Chinese and foreign music history, audition and ear training, harmony, composition, polyphony, orchestration and so on. The department has a strong faculty, including four full professors and four associate professors. A group of domestic authoritative experts and professors such as Prof. Huang Shao-Shu, a famous dance choreographer and educator, are employed to teach for a long time. Dance Department teaching facilities*** There are 16 dance rehearsal halls, of which 10 250m2, 6 168m2 dance rehearsal halls, each rehearsal hall is equipped with sound, air conditioning, 28-inch color TV and VCD machine and other advanced equipment. In addition there is a dance technique room professional equipment.
The Department of Dance now has four professional directions: choreography, dance performance, dance education, popular dance and art modeling direction.
Over the past 10 years, the department has achieved fruitful results under the efforts of teachers and students***: two solo dances were awarded silver and bronze medals at the First International Munich Youth Dance Competition.

Popular Dance and Art Modeling Direction
Main Courses: Ballet Technique, Modeling Performance, Various Types of Popular Dance and Classical Body Rhythm, Improvisation and Performance, Music, and Stage Theatre Performance Practice. The Department of Art and Design is one of the departments affiliated with China Song Arts College, which has a modern teaching building of more than 5,000 square meters. Teaching facilities include: a multi-functional hall, a computer studio, an art design studio, a lacquer painting studio, a costume art studio, a photography studio, a ceramics studio, and a professional drawing room. The Department of Art and Design has five majors: Environmental Art Design, Decoration Design, Fashion Design, Stage Art Design and Art Education. The Department of Art and Design has 7 professors, accounting for 36% of the faculty; 3 associate professors, accounting for 15%, and a group of vigorous young and middle-aged teachers.
