But something went wrong, so much information rushed in that we didn't know how to choose instead.
Today I watched Tic Tac Toe Netflix, and Xiao Chen said Tai Chi was great. Tomorrow see the media publicity Wudang taijiquan, the day after tomorrow is Wu's taiji Wu style Sanfeng taiji. ...... dazzled, looking around to follow, the results of time passed, the past is like smoke, fine learned a lot of things, but no gain.
So, to get started in taijiquan, we need to find the way, and then learn in depth, and ultimately cut through and through.
As I said before, when I was learning boxing, my teacher advised me to make learning Tai Chi about three things. One was to listen patiently, one was to learn with an open mind, and one was to relax and practice.
This was my teacher's advice. Modern people have a hard time studying and can't spare much time, so please study with an open mind. That way you won't get tired or bored and give up. So, to relax and practice, just say the gist of Tai Chi -, nothing more, just relax. It is because of these two points that you can persevere in exercising and healing, and it is because you can persevere that you can learn.
There are actually three ways to get started in learning Taijiquan.
The first way to get started: learning from a master.
In the past, the only way to get started in Taijiquan was through - looking for a master to learn from.
Due to the lack of data and information, only senior boxers could teach Tai Chi.
Although it is now only one of the methods, it is the most reliable way to learn Taijiquan.
But it is not easy to worship a traditional master.
Because the traditional worshipper must be vetted, have an introducer, cast a worshipper's post, and perform the ritual of worshipping the master in order to enter the door wall.
Such rules were not optional and could not simply be viewed as feudal and superstitious red tape. In today's parlance, it was called "ceremonial". When you walk into a church, not only are you surprised by the restored Gothic architecture, but you also have to follow the rules with the pastor and the believers. At this time, the heart unconsciously have a sense of constraint and sublime, literature can be more people feel, more sense of mission and seriousness.
If you want to learn the true meaning of real traditional taijiquan, you have to have the opportunity to visit a teacher with a legacy.
The so-called legacy is not like mass-produced boxers, but those veteran boxers who have worshipped their teachers and practiced tirelessly through years and years of experience. These veteran boxers may not be famous and should not be tic tac toe microblogging netroots patriarchs, but rather bright masters who have actually practiced something.
Thanks to such an experienced, non-conservative teacher, it is difficult to go around in circles, and can explain the meaning of various punches clearly and personally. In addition, a clear number of study times, proper practice, and having a sifu around to spar with is the right way to learn martial arts.
Unfortunately, in reality, it's hard to get the chance.
The second route to initiation: step by step.
The first method doesn't work. Please consider another way.
The National Sports Commission began promoting the popularization of Taijiquan after liberation.
So far it has completed a very detailed advanced design of the various classical boxing styles. By following the series of tutorials of the National Sports Commission and learning step by step, you can not only master the basic Taijiquan standardized types, but also pass the national wushu rank examination to become a wushu instructor.
For example, this "Chinese Wushu Paragraph System Series Tutorial - Yang's Taijiquan" contains two CDs, several hundred pages of content, and is illustrated with sharp color photographs.
The textbook ranges from Yang's Taijiquan one paragraph to six paragraphs, and the teaching of each paragraph follows: one, the basic form; two, the single practice model three, the sparring type; four, stripping, and four-step teaching, illustrated with video demonstrations, making it a more approachable mode of introduction for self-learners.
This set of materials not only taijiquan, but also wing chun, sword fighting, short stick, nunchaku, bajiquan, Xingyiquan, Wuzu Changquan, etc., basically according to the above arrangement, and from the first level to the sixth level, step by step marvelous upgrading, step by step.
Good help for beginners.
Of course, this method of learning is too boring to continue.
But, if you have the opportunity to ask the teacher of the gymnasium for advice, then it is possible in the class.
The third way to get started: square martial arts.
In fact, many of the country's people, especially the elderly, learn taijiquan from parks and squares.
You can't underestimate this. Square martial arts have some great promotional effects on Tai Chi and are loud and have a great group effect. Because the group comes together and becomes lively, there is a mutual touch, and persistence is often easier than the first two.
Only, the square martial arts also has many disadvantages. Because the leaders of most of the martial arts themselves are half-knowledgeable, they follow CD and other square martial artists for a few days, and of course they want to come and teach.
And in order to avoid boring single, square dance constantly changing a variety of martial arts routines, posing a variety of fancy poses, wearing a variety of inexplicable weapons, flowery I do not know whether it is taijiquan or square dance.
So learning good taijiquan from square martial arts, need to pay attention to how to progress step by step.
This our national sports commission has also long considered, the previously mentioned paragraph system tutorial is designed along these lines.
But for amateurs learning boxing, especially for the elderly, understand this general introductory program, at least in the square wushu learning path will not be blindly questioned, do not know how to learn boxing.
In short, go to the land of square martial arts, first ask the teacher who teaches boxing. Regardless of which school, Chen, Yang, Wu, Sun, or Wu, can they follow the second of the following teachings? Otherwise, you have to carefully identify the teacher.
Find such a teacher, and after mastering the steps, learn the following, and you will naturally be able to get started accurately.
To start with the general hand, begin with the Eight Methods and Five Steps.
The Eight Methods and Five Steps are also known as the Thirteen Forms of Tai Chi.
This is the core of Taijiquan.
The eight methods, "pounding, stroking, pressing, pushing, picking, pulling, and leaning on the elbow," refer to eight different kinds of force.
In fact, there are countless kinds of "force", which are summarized here.
Differentiated by direction and distance.
The five steps are "advancement, retreat, concern, look, and determination".
It's actually "five parts," which should mean five parts. "Maneuver, Eye, Body, Foot, and Step.
Mastering the 8 core movements of Taiji and the 5 steps in and out of Taiji, it is not difficult to know how to practice Taiji in the future.
The advantage of this mold is obvious, you don't have to pay too much attention to the place to really hit the bull ground. To be precise, Eight Methods and Five Steps is in situ Tai Chi. Nonetheless, it's very imposing when many people perform it together.
Next up is the Eight Forms of Taijiquan. This is a true taijiquan routine, where the basic movements of taijiquan are combined with footwork, and by completing the most basic routines, you can play eight styles of taijiquan. This is also the first level of taijiquan for the second introductory segment examination.
The next step is "Sixteen Forms of Taijiquan".
This is also the second level of Taijiquan for the second entrance level examination, and then comes the household name of "24-Style Taijiquan".
This was the first set of simplified taijiquan to be adapted by the National Sports Commission.
Historically proven to be a very effective health set, it is based on Yang-style Tai Chi and combines the connotations of other Tai Chi styles.
Because of the historical reasons at that time, even though it had various defects, it did not hinder the effect of strengthening the body, so it was popularized not only in mainland China, but also in Japan like broadcasting gymnastics, with special research societies.
This is also the third level of Tai Chi for the second introductory level examination.
Before learning the twenty-four-pose taijiquan, which belongs to the primary segment taijiquan prescribed by the National Sports Commission, you can now start practicing the intermediate segment taijiquan. After the thirty-two forms of taijiquan, Chen-style taijiquan, Wu-style taijiquan, and Sun's taijiquan, you can learn their respective directions as you wish.
