America's Got Talent (美國达人) (港译全美一叮) is an NBC reality television program in which contestants from all walks of life, regardless of age, compete for a $1 million prize. The show first aired in June 2006 during the summer time slot.
The idea for the show can be traced back to the UK's Talent Contest.
Talent Contest was a radio program that premiered in 1949 and became a television program in 1956. The program was known for its ability to offer amateurs and talented people the opportunity to perform and for the public to decide the winner.
The goal of America's Got Talent is to "perform to impress," and because there are no limits to what can be performed, there are action shows, dances, juggling, stand-up comedy, magic, ventriloquism, and many, many more amazing performances that can't be categorized. Of course there are also performances by proper singers, but in the Daredevil show, passion is more important than consistent play.
