Meikou Village in Zhengdun Township is located on the banks of the Songxi River, the village of 450 households of 1,903 people, is a village in the old revolutionary area, in 2007 was listed as one of the province's village-level activity venues to build villages. Meikou village is mainly planted tobacco, vegetables, planting 200 acres of baked tobacco, and the use of colorful vegetable professional cooperatives, vigorously planting vegetables, to broaden sales channels. This year, Meikou Village has taken the way of fundraising, invested 350,000 yuan for the street light project, invested 20,000 yuan to repair primary and secondary schools, opened the Meichang Highway (Zhengdun Meikou-Dongping Guitian), and taken the way of villagers' self-funding, the way of funding from the higher authorities, invested 1 million yuan to harden the 1.5 kilometers of the ring road around the village. Meikou Village is adjacent to Wanqian Village, Xinpu Village, Qianjin Village, Nankeng Village, Changtun Village, Shuangyuan Village, Zhangtun Village, Jiulong Village, Sugixi Village, Qingshan Village, Lintun Village, Huangsha Village, Yangdun Village and Zhengdun Village.
On August 31, 2017, the second batch of provincial-level traditional villages in Fujian Province was announced, and Meikou Village was listed among them.
Meikou Village is located near Chen Jian's tomb, "Longjin" cliff carvings, Jingke Dongshangang Ruins, Jingke Cao Pingtou Ruins, Songxi Guanping Mountain Scenic Spot and other tourist attractions, as well as specialties such as Songxi Black Tea, Songxi Green Tea, Zhanlou Treasure Sword, Jiu Long Kiln Porcelain, Songxi Xiaojiao and other specialties.
