India's Asan Fighting Nation

A San in India, referring to an Indian, is a derogatory title with racial discrimination. "Indian Asan" comes from the Shanghai dialect of Wu dialect in the period of "Shili Yangchang". Wu people like to add the word "A" very much, but the words related to "A-san" in Shanghai dialect (Asan, Basan, Yakuza, Shisandian and Zhutousan) are mostly derogatory words. In the British Concession in Shanghai, there were often "civil servants" transferred from India to take charge of some chores, and these Indians were loyal "minions" of the British, dancing around with batons all day, so Shanghainese disdained them as "Ah San". Nowadays, the word "India Asan" has been widely spread, which means that Chinese people mock India.
