Development history

From the end of 17 to the whole 18 century, famous thinkers such as Locke, Leibniz and Bekele were very interested in the sense, especially the visual problems. 1748, Diderot published The Letter to the Blind.

In 1754, Condilac mentioned these problems again in On Feeling. Valentin Hay (1745 ~ 1822), a French calligraphy professor, happens to be interested in education for the blind.

Later, in the process of educating a blind beggar, he found that the blind could distinguish coins from prominent letters through touch, so he tried to print larger prominent letters on cardboard for the blind to learn. This is one of the earliest reading and writing systems for the blind. Therefore, Avi is called "the father and apostle of the blind".
