What is the story behind the song "Wine Dry If Sold Without"?

Background: "Wine Dry If Sold for Nothing" is the theme song of the 1983 movie "Hitchhiking on the Wrong Train", which tells the story of a veteran's mute uncle and his abandoned baby. The story is about a veteran who made his living scavenging for rags, and how one morning in the winter of 1958, the mute uncle found an abandoned baby girl in a high-class residential area and named her Mei.

Since then, the mute uncle has been a father and a mother, a father and a daughter, struggling through hard times and poverty, and raising Ah Mei on a meager income. With the help of a young composer, Shi Junmai, Ah Mei became a popular singer. Unexpectedly, after Ah Mei became famous, she forgot the kindness that Uncle Mute had done to her.

At a concert, Shijunmai wanted to see Ami's father when he was near Ami's house. Walking up to Ami's father's window, a neighbor told Shijunmai about Ami's father's childhood use of the trumpet sound of "Wine Dried and Sold" to make Ami joyful, and Shijunmai got inspired and instead of seeing Ami's father, he went back to his home immediately.

To wake up Ami, he wrote a song for her, and it was this song, "Wine Dry If Sold Without". Tokunmai mailed the song to her a few days before the concert. When Mei read the lyrics, she wept bitterly and kept learning the song, and all the scenes of her father's hard work in raising her came back to her like a tidal wave.

Ami sang the song "If You Sell Wine" instead of complying with her agent's arrangement, which offended the agency but firmly demonstrated that she was sorry and repentant for her past life, regretting that she had taken the wrong ride on the road of life.
