Lantern Festival essay about 400 words

On the day of the Lantern Festival, after dinner, I went to Xinda Square with my father, mother, and my second aunt's family.

There was a sea of people, colorful lights, fire trees and silver flowers, there are stage singing, singing and dancing, there are playing the lion, there is a night market to sell snacks, everywhere overflowing with a New Year's festivities. Our family looked around, enjoying the beautiful night scene of the New Year's Eve. Suddenly always sharp-eyed second aunt found not far from a large group of people gathered there do not know what to do. Closer to see, it turned out that they are guessing riddles. So, we also joined the riddle army, overhead red lanterns hanging below various types of puzzles. I also tried to guess a few, and surprisingly I was able to guess the answer. Just as I was running to cash in my prize, I was dumbfounded. There was a long dragon in front of me, and the queue for the prizes was several hundred meters long. I was disappointed and gave up the idea of receiving the prize. When I heard my dad say that we were going to put on a wishing lamp, I was as excited as if I had been activated. We hurriedly got into the car and went straight to the riverfront boulevard.

When we got there, my sister and I hurriedly took out our pre-prepared wishing lamps, while my aunt took out his pen, which he never leaves, and wrote down our first wish on the lamp. Auntie and Dad were there to help. I took a closer look and realized that it was for me. It said, "May our little princess grow thinner and prettier." I couldn't help but snicker when I realized that my aunt had changed last year's "grow fatter and fatter" to "grow thinner and thinner," I said. The first wishing lamp was successfully placed in the sky. Then my aunt wrote down the second and third wishes,......, some wishing my sister to win the gold medal, and some wishing my grandpa and grandma good health. When the last wishing lamp flew up to the sky, we watched the released wishing lamps slowly floating into the distance. The seven wishing lamps were like seven stars winking mischievously at us. With our whole family's New Year's blessings flew into the dark night sky.

Ah! What a happy Lantern Festival. I really hope the next Lantern Festival will come soon.
