How much do those who smile brightly during the day suffer at night? None of us know.

Last night, Kim Jong-hyun, the lead singer of South Korean boy band SHINee, committed suicide by burning charcoal in his apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.
Kim Jong-hyun, born in 1990, was 27 years old.
His group SHINee, which debuted with the song "Sister is Beautiful," is now heading into its 10th year. With Korean idols changing generations so frequently, SHINee has so far seen no member changes and no rumors of discord, making it simply a rare quality idol in the Korean entertainment industry.
And Kim Jong-hyun's singing ability is y rooted in people's hearts, having released a solo album and once voted as the second best singing ability of Korean male idols.
But before taking his own life, he had sent a message to his sister, "It's been really hard up until now, please send me away and say hard work, this is my last greeting.
(Kim Jong-hyun and his sister)
What's even more amazing is that Kim Jong-hyun had just finished his solo show ten days ago.
We would never have guessed that a star in the spotlight would give up overnight because of the hard work? The words "talent", "idol", "handsome" and "positive energy" that they carried didn't make them brave enough to live. The first thing you need to do is to get a good look at your own life, and you'll be able to see it.
In his suicide note, he said, "Depression consumed me.
In fact, Kim Jong-hyun has been pouring out his pain in the songs he wrote and composed.
In the program, it was also revealed, "People don't seem to care about what kind of person I am, it's like not many people want to get to know what I'm really like."
Originally sensitive people who pretend to be strong every day, day after day after day after day, may really one day will not be able to pretend.
Originally, there were also rumors that Kim Jong-hyun became depressed because of his unstable income. But, according to his friend Mr. A, the root of the pain was for the sake of music.
The outside world has always felt that Kim Jong-hyun is a popular member of a popular group and wondered why he was suffering. But Mr. A said that Kim "felt that he couldn't live up to the expectations of the people around him. He says he wants to do better but is not capable enough, and it seems to be getting harder as he gets older."
Jonghyun's social network was last updated on Nov. 20, when he wrote, "I hope you don't get sick."
"He couldn't sleep at all without sleeping pills, and I used to stay up all night with him on the phone, not realizing that would be the last conversation."
Until the time he left, he still thought a lot, signed an organ donation, left an inheritance for his sister, his suicide note was ready, and his afterlife was well organized, so it was clear that his determination to commit suicide was very strong.
Just when the world was still expecting a miracle, someone said, still in emergency, there is still a possibility of survival!
Unfortunately, there was no miracle this time.
The ones who are hurting the most are family, friends and fans?
When they saw the last bit of light in the midst of despair, and then that bit of light faded into the night? It's the feeling of having given hope and having it dashed that hurts the most, isn't it?
Today, Kim Jong-hyun spirit hall set up completed open fans condolences
In fact, South Korean artists work and life pressure has been an open secret, a variety of unspoken rules, contract oppression, the old and the new turnover fast, etc. is common, a lot of artists so anxiety, suffering from depression, suicide is more than a lot of?

More and more celebrities and public figures are committing suicide due to depression, and many people feel that they are leading enviable lives, so what is there to be "unfulfilled" about?
However, many celebrities have been crowned with the mask of "perfection", it seems that once your behavior exceeds the netizen's settings, you will be criticized, and sometimes in order to please the audience, they have to go against their own wishes, or else it is a "collapse of the persona".
There are also some people who have been subjected to manipulation by brokers, and you might say that there's a price to pay for wanting to be on fire. But if you've been manipulated all your life, then the alternative may be a curtain call.
It's not just public figures, depression is really becoming more and more prevalent, it has come to us, and we try to understand, but we can never get inside their heads.

Sometimes we think that the word "suicide" is really far away from us, but in fact, it is all around us.
Don't always think that others are pretentious, one more word of praise, your life will not be less.
On the afternoon of Feb. 12 this year, police received a 911 call from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) school, which later confirmed the death of Weiwei Liu, a 20-year-old international student from China, which was ruled a suicide.
Weiwei, who was from Guangdong, was a beautiful girl, talented, played the piano and loved life. She socialized widely, made many foreign friends and was pictured with a sweet smile.
A week before the accident, she also posted on Facebook:
"I have walked through this peaceful sunny path countless times and always felt it was so beautiful that no one should be in it. I never like to expose my family in front of the camera, but this time is an exception as my mother is parting ways with me after coming to be with and take care of me for almost a month. Mom, don't worry about me, your little girl has grown up. I will always miss you, mom."
Somewhere soon after, someone uploaded what appeared to be Weiwei's suicide note, in which she said, "The world is good and I am an overwhelmed coward so I chose to retreat and run away."
It also reads, "To live or to die, there is and should be only one reason, that is, whether one's own self is worth living or not, whether one is qualified to live or not. At the end of the article, Weiwei said, "I can't bear the weight of life given to me, everyone I love, all the best, live well."
There has been much speculation about the cause of Weiwei's death, among them too much stress.
When she came to the United States, she quickly adapted to her environment, but she had said she was interested in psychology, and also said that many people who study psychology have conflicts of their own and want to treat themselves? Now that I think about it, this may be talking about myself.
When she first came to UCSB, she often said on Facebook that her studies were demanding.
On Jan. 29 of this year, in her PO post she mentioned depression for the first time:
"In my last Classical Mythology class, the professor asked how many people wanted a short but glorious life, and about 20 people raised their hands. The professor went on to say how many people want a happy and long life, and about 600 people raised their hands. Now I know why so many Americans aspire to a happy and carefree life, yet their depression rate is among the highest in the world. How many depressed people aspire to a "happy and long" life?"
How many people pretend to be happy with a smiling mask? According to statistics, in China, 50 percent and 70 percent of suicides and attempted suicides are by depressed people.
For them, having suicidal thoughts is sometimes just a matter of moments.

It can be remembered that in the early hours of March 17, 2012, @WalkingRice hanged herself, and on the 18th, her Weibo timed her last words through a time machine, "I'm depressed so I'll just go and die for a while, there's no important reason for that, so people don't have to care about me leaving. Bye bye la."
To this day, there are still many people leaving comments below who speak of their sadness in this strange account?
Some because of unhappy family relationships, some because of a loved one, everyone grieves differently but suffers the same pain.
Born and bred, you have nothing to apologize for!
Seeing some of the messages, tears almost fell from my eyes, I wish more than anything that you could see these replies below!
In May of last year, an author who has written many fairy tales, @Pu Erding, left a message on Twitter saying goodbye to the world.
At the time, she posted these:Really can't hold on, I lied about everything I said. I've been depressed for five years. Can't hold on anymore. I hope I don't see you again in the next life.
Wrote so many stories of healing, but did not manage to overcome the depression Daemon. Luckily, there were a lot of friends and fans who saw it, and it was finally gotten to in time by the likes of Koster to walk through it.
You see, there are still a lot of people who care about you, even strangers.

When faced with pressure from all sides, maybe we are really bereft. Some people have even begun to tease today's young people have become Buddhist teenagers, no desire, no particular expectations of life, single or in love, whatever is acceptable.
But I have to say, sometimes, this is our way of decompression, with the tone of the joke aside those pressures, the world's pursuit of fame and fortune of too many people, we may as well live their own little life quietly, in the old age, you can go to the park dancing, practicing tai chi, just as very dashing.
And, for those keyboard warriors, I'll send you a quote:
Sometimes we say that other people's pain and despair is like a puddle on the side of the road; you see it, so you go around it. But you don't realize how deep it is until you jump in. Just be a spectator on the sidelines, but don't laugh out loud, that's bad overkill.
If, by chance, you are depressed, then I would like to say to you:
The rest of our lives are still long, let's walk slowly together.
