Brief introduction of swallow

1, swallow, male and female feathers are almost the same. The top of the head is dark brown, and the sides of the head, the back neck and the side of the neck, and the upper body, including the upper tail feather, winglet feather and inner wing feather, are dark brown.

2. The wings and tail are dark brown-gray, and the tail feathers are short and slightly concave, almost square. Except for the middle pair and the outermost pair of tail feathers, there is a large white spot at the proximal end of other tail feathers at 1/3.

3. The chin, throat and upper chest are white, some of them have dark brown or gray spots, the lower chest and abdomen are dark brown sand, and the wings, lower abdomen and lower tail are covered with dark smoky brown feathers. The iris is dark brown, the mouth is black, and the color is flesh and blood.

4. Young birds are similar to adult birds, but the upper part of young birds is dark, with broad dark brown feathers, and the waist and tail are covered with yellowish feathers. The lower body is reddish brown, and there are no brown markings on the chin and throat.
