Classical dance characteristics

1. Shape

Shape refers to the movements outside the form. It is manifested in all kinds of postures, ever-changing movements and connections between movements. All visible forms and processes can be called "form".

Shape is the most basic feature of image art, the attachment of the charm of classical dance, and the medium for conveying the beauty of classical dance.

2. God

This is a general reference to connotation, grace, rhythm and temperament. Any art can be said to be soulless if it has no charm. In Chinese literary criticism, charisma is an exceptionally important concept. In the movement of the human body in classical dance, charm can be recognized and felt. And it is precisely by grasping "divinity" that "form" comes to life.

3. Strength

The rhythm of classical Chinese dance is often not the same as the rhythm of regular 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 music. More often than not, it is carried out in a free and regular "elastic" rhythm, which is not slow, tight but not chaotic, and in which there is stillness in the movement and movement in the stillness.

4, rhythm

"Counter-rhythm" is unique to classical dance, which can produce a sense of movement of the human body in a multitude of ways, confusing and ever-changing.

From the point of view of each specific action, classical dance also has the saying that "everything is done from the opposite side", that is to say, the movement law of "when the punch must be leaning on, wanting to the left successively, when the opening must be closed, wanting to the front successively", and it is these special laws that have produced the special aesthetic nature of classical dance. It is these special laws that give rise to the special aesthetics of classical dance.
