Source: Tang Dynasty poet Liu Xiyi's "The White-Headed Weng" (代悲白头翁).
Translation: "The flowers are similar every year, but the people are different every year" means that the flowers remain the same year after year, but the people who look at them are different every year.
"I woke up and realized that it was not a dream, and the wrinkles between my eyebrows were heavy again", these two lines are not ancient poems, they are made by the later generation with emotion, expressing the feeling of missing the people they miss. It means waking up and suddenly realizing that it was actually a dream, and the wrinkles between the eyebrows have increased again.
Original text:
The peach and plum blossoms in the east of the city of Luoyang, to whom do they fly and fall? The daughters of Luoyang cherish their colors, and they sit and sigh longingly at the sight of the fallen flowers.
This year's flowers fall and change color, next year's flowers bloom again who is there? I've seen the pine and cypress destroyed, and I've heard the mulberry fields become the sea.
The ancient people no longer east of Luocheng, the present people are still on the wind of falling flowers. The flowers are similar every year, but the people are different every year.
This is the first time I've ever seen a woman in her prime, and I've never seen a woman in her prime. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm sorry to hear that.
The Prince's grandchildren are under the fragrant tree, and they sing and dance in front of the falling flowers. The Kuanglu Pond and the General's Pavilion were painted by the immortals.
One day I was sick and didn't know each other, but who was there in the spring? The first time I saw you, I was so happy to see you. I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to get out of this one.
But in the ancient times, only the birds and birds of the dusk are sad.

I. Appreciation of the work
"The peach and plum blossoms in the east of the city of Luoyang are flying to and fro and falling on whoever's home", the first two lines of the poem, depicting the scenery of the twilight of spring in the east of the city of Luoyang. These two lines are the rising of the poem. The following lines express the longing for and attachment to the beautiful spring scenery and the beautiful red face, as well as the sadness and regret for the peach and plum blossoms and the youthfulness, all of which are derived from them.
"Luoyang daughter good color" the following ten lines, write the young Luoyang daughter in the face of the sky fluttering flowers out of infinite feelings. The daughter of Luoyang's sentimental, in fact, by the changes in nature and associated with the shortness of beauty and the limited life of man.
"This year, the color of the falling flowers has changed. The expression is because of the passing of the spring and lamented the red face is easy to grow old, life is impermanent psychology.
"The ancient world is no longer east of Luocheng, and the present is still on the wind of falling flowers" reveals the objective law that life is easy to pass away and the universe is eternal.
The two lines of "the flowers are similar year after year, and the people are different year after year" are a beautiful, smooth and neat pair of lines that focus on the lamentation of the impermanence of youthfulness, rich in poetic mood and philosophical, and have been widely recited.
The following ten lines of "Sending a message to the red-faced son in full bloom" summarize the life experience of the old man with the white head. The white-headed old man was once a beautiful young man, and in the old days he used to sing and dance under the trees and in front of the flowers with the princes and grandchildren. The two lines of "Guanglu Jiutai Wen Jinxiu" express the rich life of Baigou Weng with the luxury and extravagance of the powerful ministers and relatives in the history.
However, once he became ill and senile, no one paid any attention to him, and he had to give up his three spring walks to others.
This paragraph not only expresses the poet's longing for the youthful beauty and the beautiful songs and dances, and his pity and sympathy for the old man, but also further expresses his feeling for the shortness of beauty and the finiteness of life, which strengthens the artistic and philosophical power of the poem.
The four lines at the end point out the main idea and conclude the poem. The two lines lament the fact that the beautiful girl will turn into an old woman with gray hair in a matter of seconds, and lament the fact that it is difficult to retain youth.
"But look at the ancient song and dance place, only dusk birds sad" two lines, everything is like a cloud of smoke, quickly disappeared! In the past, the prosperous and bustling playground, now only a few birds in the cold twilight of the flock issued a few miserable sad song. The last word "sad" in the last line is the tone of the poem.
