Zhang Jingyue was born in Huiji (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang) in the late Ming Dynasty. His name is Jiebin, the word Huiqing, and his name is Jingyue. He was nicknamed Yi Tong because of the name of his room. At the same time, because of his good use of cultivated land, some people call him "Zhang Dihuang Land". He is an outstanding medical scientist and a representative of the school of warming and tonifying in ancient Chinese medicine.
Zhang Jingyue spent 30 years studying Su Wen and Ling Shu, and finally wrote Jing Lei. Classics are classified, annotated in detail, organized and easy to find. In terms of medical theory, according to Huangdi Neijing, Yin is the secret, and God is the rule. Zhang Jingyue put forward such theories as "Yang is not abundant", "True Yin is insufficient" and "the deficiency of human body is more than deficiency of reality", and advocated that the true Yin and Yuan Yang should be supplemented, and the cold should be used cautiously to attack the prescription. The warming and reinforcing prescription is commonly used in clinic, which is called the "warming and reinforcing school". At that time, people called him "a master of medical skills" and "a romantic figure after Zhongjing". His academic thoughts have a great influence on later generations.
