Qingdao is the only full-time comprehensive art secondary specialized school directly under the Education Bureau, a key vocational education school in Shandong Province, a teaching demonstration school in Shandong Province, a school art education demonstration school in Shandong Province, and an advanced unit of governing schools according to law in Qingdao. There are correspondence stations of the Central Conservatory of Music and Beijing Dance Academy.
In 2008, Qingdao Education Bureau adjusted the layout of some schools, and Qingdao Women's Secondary Vocational School and Qingdao No.13 Middle School merged into art schools. Qingdao Art School is divided into two campuses: Dandong Road and Dalian Road. The school has two levels: junior college and general (vocational) middle school. Among them, the "32-year continuous reading" college has a music major.

Qingdao Art School, formerly known as No.52 Middle School in Qingdao, Shandong Province, was named Qingdao Art School by Qingdao Municipal Government in 1989. In 2008, Qingdao No.13 Middle School and Qingdao No.11 Middle School Women's Specialized Department (formerly Qingdao No.8 Middle School) were merged into the art school, and the school card of "Qingdao Women's Vocational Secondary Professional School" was added.
Qingdao Women's College was founded in 1905, formerly known as Wende Girls' Middle School, and is the first girls' middle school in Qingdao. 20 14 Qingdao normal school in Shandong province was merged into art school, and the school card of "Qingdao normal school" was added.
Qingdao Normal School was founded in 1930, and its predecessor was Qingdao Licun Normal School. It was once as famous as Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal School founded by Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, and was called "Xiaozhuang Normal School in the south and Licun Normal School in the north".
