Zhenyuan County, belonging to Qiandongnan Prefecture of Guizhou Province, is the eastern gate of Guizhou, known as "the key to Yunnan and Chu, the gateway to the east of Guizhou". With a history of more than 2,200 years, it is a national key historical and cultural city.
Jusheng Bridge has been built for more than 600 years and lasted for 250 years. The bridge was originally called "West Bridge" and was renamed Zhu Sheng Bridge on the birthday of Emperor Kangxi.
The bridge is made of green stone, the piers are from the Ming Dynasty and the bridge body is from the Qing Dynasty. When it was built, it looked like a long dragon, lying on the Maoyang River.
There is a pavilion in the bridge, named Kuixinglou. There are few bridges with pavilions in them. Legend has it that after the pavilion was built, this place really became the top scholar.
The pavilion is also full of culture today, where artists paint portraits of visitors. Naturally there are fortune tellers.
The Dragon Cave, located at the foot of Zhonghe Mountain, next to the Maoyang River. Rocks and caves blend into one. Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism each have temples interspersed with their terrain. It has the architectural style of the Central Plains, but also a blend of Miao and Dong hanging feet, dry bar features, so it is called "South Hanging Temple", "Guizhou to the Museum of Ancient Architecture".
The Dragon Cave was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of 500 years. It was destroyed and repaired several times by soldiers. Nowadays, it has become a religious and cultural tourist attraction and architectural exposition area, covering an area of more than 20,000 square meters. It consists of six parts: the Dragon Cave, Zi Zen Study Hall, Zhong Zen Study Hall, Wanshou Guan, Zhu Sheng Bridge and the Fragrant Furnace Rock.
Shi Ping Mountain, like a screen, stands at the back of the ancient city. The mountain is named after the cliffs that are "straight as a screen". With a relative height difference of 204 meters, it is a good place to climb up and see the ancient city of Zhenyuan from afar.
Overlooking Zhenyuan City, the green hills relative, S-shaped Maoyang River through the city, the water's edge of a thousand people.
A clear river flows eastward, merging into the Qingshui River, flowing into the Yuan River, injecting into the Dongting Lake and running into the Yangtze River. The Maoyang River gave birth to Zhenyuan.
The ancient city wall at the top of the hill, guarding the ancient city, is the place where battles were fought in those days and is now a sightseeing spot.

Most of the riverside streets have rooms on the second floor and above. Rooms with river views are usually more expensive and you have to pay more to enjoy the view.
Castles stand on cliffs and boats break the waves along the shore.
