The Mid-Autumn Festival is here, and there is not much three-day holiday, but it is a rare break for people who work and go to school. How many people are thinking about going out to play. So in this still hot weather, going to Sanxia Family is a good choice. It’s cool in the mountains, you can see the mountains, water and Tujia girls, it’s a leisurely trip!
The Three Gorges Family is located in Yichang, Hubei Province. Yichang has now developed into a tourist city with convenient transportation and buses to various scenic spots. ETC buses will set up a booth at some stops, and there is no charge for transferring to other buses at this place. This is something I have never seen anywhere else, and I was a little surprised when I first saw it.
However, most scenic spots are not located indoors in Yichang. Sanxia Family is located in Yiling District, Yichang City, and can be reached by taking bus No. 101 in the city.
If you have plenty of time, you can also go to China Three Gorges University. Three Gorges University is a must-pass route for buses. Unlike my completely closed school, China Three Gorges University is open and integrated with the outside community. The buses seem to pass through the inside of the school, very much like a foreign university.
You must take a boat to enter the Three Gorges. The boat ticket is 30 yuan plus the attraction entrance fee is 180 yuan. It takes about 40 minutes by boat to actually reach the interior of the Three Gorges Family. But your eyes will not be idle for a few dozen minutes. The tour guide on the boat will introduce the scenery on both sides one after another.
The first thing that catches the eye is the huge dam-Gezhouba. I heard that the Three Gorges Dam was open to the public in the past, but now it is no longer open for some reason. You can only watch it from a distance on the boat.
But that’s okay. The dam is not a scenic spot in the first place. As an extremely important water conservancy project, it needs to be well protected. Although I can only see a little bit, I can still imagine how magnificent it looks when it stores water and releases water.
Going deeper, the heat outside disappears and is replaced by the cool breeze in the water and mountains, which is pleasant. After another five or six minutes, we gradually felt that we had entered the painting. The peaks on both sides were so beautiful and the trees were green. This was an indescribable beauty. Not much to say, just look at the pictures.
Sometimes you can see some small houses halfway up the mountains on both sides. According to the tour guide, they were all immigrants who left their hometowns and moved downstream when the Three Gorges Dam was built. They did not want to enter the city, so they lived here.
They still maintain the habit of growing corn and sweet potatoes. These crops are drought tolerant and salt-alkali resistant, making them easy to survive even on the mountainside. These are really commendable crops, relying on which immigrants can support themselves and a large family. And these will be passed down from generation to generation with them.
The place where we got off the boat is called Shipailing. There is a huge stone standing on the hill, like a memorial arch. It is said that this huge stone weighs 4,000 tons, so it got its name because it looks like a stone tablet. Shipai Ridge.
There is a small Anti-Japanese War film and television base here, with gray and black piles of sacks, military green helmets hanging on the shed, and small turrets, which are very restored.
Then visit Bawang Village, which is located on the mountainside. Some of us didn't want to climb the mountain, so we all chose the elevator to go up halfway up the mountain. The original cableway was replaced by an advanced elevator, and you can reach the mountainside in just a few minutes.
I think it’s a pity. I really want to experience the feeling of riding on the cableway, so that I can see the surrounding scenery while going up, but I can’t do that this time. This village is very Tujia style, with wooden attics and red lanterns hanging on the eaves.
After a short tour, the performance of Bawang Village began on time. The middle-aged men wearing ghost masks imitated the ancient process of praying for rain, dancing strange dance steps and making various movements that we could not understand.
I suddenly felt water vapor moistening my face. Can I really ask for rain? I was amazed. When we looked up, we discovered that the water vapor came from the trees above us. There were various small tubes hanging on the trees, which you couldn't tell without looking closely. It turned out to be artificial rain! I couldn't help laughing, this was barely a success in praying for rain.
After lunch, we continued walking. Next, the main thing to see is the natural scenery. The peaks on both sides are still majestic and beautiful, and you can walk along the trails built on the peaks. The tall peaks block the sunlight above your head, making it very cool to walk among them.
I met a few wild apes on the road, and some tourists who brought food fed them bread. They simply stopped for a long time, and the way they ate was endearing.
There are often small boats in the stream. On the boat, there is either a Tujia Yaomei with braided hair, or a Tujia man holding a bamboo pole as if to row a boat. There is also an old woman washing clothes by the stream. They all wore Tujia national costumes, fully restoring the daily life of the Tujia people.
One of the younger sisters got up and sang a folk song. Her singing voice was melodious and melodious. It is said that if someone sings back one sentence, Yaomei can sing in duet with Yaomei. If Yaomei can't sing enough, she will marry the husband. But none of us can sing folk songs, so this mischievous idea can only be given up.
Finally saw a "good show". People in the scenic area sent a beautiful Yaomei to throw an hydrangea to attract a bride. The man who grabbed the hydrangea could marry the beautiful lady. The man who grabbed the hydrangea was pulled into the building, put on the groom's clothes, and went downstairs with Yaomei in the bride's clothes to worship heaven and earth and drink a glass of wine.
The shy man blushed brightly, but the bride was very generous. This hydrangea-throwing game for tourists arouses great interest every time it is played. The scenic spot is also well-intentioned!
After watching the show, there is a small waterfall at the end, which you can also take a look at.
You still need to take a boat back. The Yichang specialty Qingjiang wild fish and sweet potato cakes will be sold on the boat. The price is slightly cheaper than the market. It is worth buying some to take back to your relatives and friends.
With its beautiful mountains, rivers and scenery, Three Gorges is the most suitable place for people to escape the summer heat and enjoy the cool air. Take advantage of this holiday to have some fun and relax.
