In the Song Dynasty, Jiading set up Chongren Township, which formed a market in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Chongren Town was built in Kangxi of Qing Dynasty.
In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), Chongren District was established to administer Chongren Town.
Founded in June 1949, it governs Shunyi, Shuner, Anfu, Maren, Guixiu Township and Chongren Town.

The whole region merged into Furun, Guangli, Shangsheng, Spring Festival couplets, Minsheng Township and Chongren Town.
1958 10, Chongren People's Commune was established in the whole region, Chongren Town and Chunlian Township were merged into Chongchun Management Zone, and others were established according to townships.
1August, 959, Chongren Town was restored as a town directly under the county, and the Spring Festival couplets established a separate management area.
