1. Folk Songs Sing to Malaysia Malaysia

From October 20 to November 4, 2004, at the invitation of the Federation of Malaysia, the Chinese Hakka Art Troupe organized by the Propaganda Department of the Xingning Municipal Committee and the Cultural Bureau went to Malaysia to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. The first Hakka Culture Festival Tour visited ten cities and performed ten folk song programs full of Hakka charm. It was welcomed and praised by local audiences, especially Hakka overseas Chinese. It shows the characteristics and charm of Hakka folk songs in a foreign country.

This performance was headed by He Jianqing, the Propaganda Minister of the Municipal Party Committee, and Hong Danbiao, the Director of Culture, and Qu Guiqin, Director of the Provincial Overseas Association Office, were the deputy leaders. Meizhou and Huizhou Mountain singers and actors from the city’s cultural centers and theater troupes were invited to 14 They formed a singing team, made sufficient preparations before leaving, and brought a lively and authentic Hakka folk song to the performance. I was fortunate enough to participate in this overseas performance event. The leader arranged for me to improvise the five-line banquet and play and sing. Part of the singing content is now excerpted as follows, and I would like to share it with you.

The sweet-scented osmanthus blooms everywhere, and the autumn breeze brings joy to the heart. When seeing relatives, the heart is happy.

A folk song expresses the heart and soul, and I wish everyone good health.

It’s not easy to get used to many people. Dare to do things with bare hands. Hard work is a real skill.

Using an abacus with ten fingers, you can make a lot of money and move to Tangshan.

Hakka men are the smartest, and there have been many celebrities throughout the ages who are knowledgeable and knowledgeable.

Many of the world’s leaders are descendants of the Hakka people.

Hakka women are strong-willed, send their children to school, cut firewood and sell it to pay for school fees.

As long as their children have a happy life, their hearts will be cold if they are used to hardship and tiredness.

Hundreds of flowers bloom in a hundred gardens, the world's first Hakka family, we are of one heart and one mind, and we create a prosperous and prosperous China.

Three decades since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, the country will always be solid and rock solid. With this affectionate blessing song, our friendship will last forever. I wish you all the best and make a lot of money.

As soon as the singing stopped, applause broke out. The audience also pushed representatives backstage to ask me to perform again, so I sang "Marrying a Wife in Her Sixties", which again attracted bursts of applause and laughter. Every performance and every program deeply aroused the homesickness of the Hakka people in a foreign country, and the audience responded with warm applause. Many audience members were still unwilling to leave until the end of the performance, and some even walked up to the front desk and asked to take photos with us. Mr. Ye Deming, a member of the Hakka Association and overseas Chinese leader in his 70s, specially bought a small tape recorder and recorded the bamboo songs I sang. He also said that he would take it to various Hakka branches to play it so that more members can hear it. . During the performance, Mr. Lin Maofa, a well-known person in Malaysia and the chairman of the Xingning Township Association, invited us to visit his home and entertained everyone warmly with many durians grown by himself. A strong sense of nostalgia permeates the foreign land. I think our Hakka folk songs, sung from the mountain city of Xingning to provincial capitals, throughout Shenzhen, Foshan, Shaoguan and other cities, and now in ten cities in Malaysia, truly express the style of the Hakka people. In the future, Hakka folk songs will definitely go abroad, break out of Asia, and be sung all over the world.

Malaysian newspapers all reported the grand performance grandly.

2. The eaves are used as a rap stage (folk songs)

The eaves are used as a rap stage, singing folk songs and "ah hi"

Village House The whole house invites you to sing, and you can watch your heart blossom while listening.

The singing under the eaves is not bad, and there are speakers on the top of the gate.

The strings of the piano come and go with the bamboo board, and folk songs are sung from generation to generation.

The eaves are used as a rap stage, and men, women and children gather together.

The format is easy to understand and the effect is better than on foreign stages.

The effect is better than that of foreign stages, and hundreds of flowers bloom in the literary garden.

The flowers are abundant and the fruits are fresh and colorful. They are rooted in fertile soil and come from the people.

Attachment: Longgang Festival Exhibits Singing Talents

——Memory of Meizhou City folk singer Li Chaoquan who participated in the "'99 China (Shenzhen·Longgang) Hakka Culture Festival" event

October 27-28.

The ’99 China Hakka Culture Festival was held in Longgang, Shenzhen, Special Economic Zone. Li Chaoquan, a well-known folk artist in our town and Meizhou folk singer, was invited to participate in the singing event and won the "Excellence Award" in the competition.

This Hakka Culture Festival event was organized by the General Office of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Longgang District People's Government, etc. Organized by the unit, singers from Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi and other places participated. The preliminary competition was held on the 27th. 34 singers showed off their singing voices and singing talents. They used Hakka folk songs to praise Longgang, Shenzhen, singing about reform and opening up, and singing Hakka. Li Chaoquan sang impromptu folk songs in the preliminary competition.

Shenzhen Longgang is prosperous,

Overseas friends often visit.

The President of the United States praised it,

it surpassed Japan, Europe and America.

(Ya) It’s a different day when I come to Shenzhen,

The night is like the sun inside.

There is a lot of traffic,

Economic and trade negotiations bring many financial resources.

Shenzhen Longgang is prosperous,

The masses are enthusiastic.

The open policy is good, and

there will be money flowing from offering treasures.

Sister Li Fengmei,

received the certificate.

Don’t go anywhere else,

Come to Longgang District.

The girl can pick tea,

The girl can rake.

Girls can dance,

Girls can be in charge.

Shenzhen Longgang is no better than before.

Great changes occurred after (Xiaoping)’s southern tour.

Everything is good, food, clothing, housing and transportation are good,

The government is connected to the people and the new paradise.

Folk songs attracted bursts of applause and laughter. After selection by the judges, 20 singers entered the finals, and Chaoquanshi was one of them.

The final will be held on the 28th in the form of a group competition at the Longgang Open-air Square. The 20 singers will be drawn and ranked in pairs. The odd-numbered singers will be challenged, and the even-numbered singers will be challenged to sing against each other, requiring talent and creativity. Agile and adaptable, each group lasts 12 minutes. The lot Chaoquan drew was No. 11, and No. 12 was a singer from Jiangxi. The above five groups of competitions were all in a lively atmosphere and were evenly matched. When it was the turn of the sixth group, the host came to the stage to invite singers No. 11 and 12 to compete on stage, and the two contestants came on stage to shake hands.

Chaoquan sings:

The pigeons flying out of the pit in the mountains,

the various sounds of auspicious birds.

You are from Yaxingning, Jiangxi Province,

Praise to Longgang City.

Anthem No. 12:

This hymn comes to praise Longgang City,

I am willing to ask you to be my husband.

(Ya) I feel scared as soon as I get on the singing platform.

Ya comes and goes from the singing booth to the singing booth.

As soon as you open your mouth, you can't get it right. It attracted good-natured laughter from the audience. Seeing that something was not going well, Chaoquan hurriedly stepped forward, took No. 12's hand, and sang:

I'll pick you up if you want to come,

I'll pick you up and sing Xia Tian.

I feel bad about it,

I tell sugar lovers to only let "Duo Dian" go.

Singer No. 12 was unable to sing any more, so he had to quickly get off the stage. Chao Quan was the only one left on the stage. In a desperate situation, Chaoquan really did not lose his true qualities as a folk singer. He was not in a hurry, he responded to the situation and sang:

Jujin has gone out of his way,

(Ya) A single thrush is raised on the stage.

When one’s own family is called, one’s own family responds.

It’s time to change the theme.

Hakka men are not simple, and

are not afraid of difficulties if they work hard.

Come to the Special Administrative Region to show your skills,

beautify the paradise on earth.

When the time comes, the gong sounds under the stage. The sixth pair of singers’ ring competition ended. Chaoquan was awarded the "Excellence Award" by the judges for his calm style, flexible adaptability and good singing. Hu, the former director of the Propaganda Department of the Meizhou Municipal Party Committee who participated in the event, praised Chaoquan, "You have good adaptability." After the competition, reporters and photographers from Shenzhen TV also approached Chaoquan to inquire about some situations and specially invited him to the beautiful Longgang Town. A TV shot of him singing Hakka folk songs was filmed by the fountain in front of the house.
