What I Learned Essay 400 Words Part 1
This summer, I learned a skill - riding a bicycle.
On a bright morning, the rising sun shed a ray of yellow silky light, gently passing through the tops of the leafy trees, becoming colorful. Despite the beautiful scenery, I had no desire to watch.
I was a little nervous about starting on the road. Dad touched my head and said, "Little hero, get on the road!" Courageously, I pedaled on and got on the bike, with my dad helping me out in the back. Before I knew what was going on, the bike lurched forward like a frightened horse. As soon as my dad let go, I lost my balance and fell flat on my face with a thud.
It took me a long time to calm down. My dad gave me a demonstration of how to do it again. Just like that, I fell and pedaled and pedaled and finally learned. I thanked my dad for handing me the skills and courage to ride a bike, which gave me confidence.
Now I'm getting pretty good at it, and I've learned the true meaning of the phrase "everything is hard at first".

When I was in the middle of kindergarten, my teacher asked everyone to know how to jump rope, and I learned how to jump rope from then on.
My mom and dad taught me how to jump rope, and I tried it myself: first, I picked up the ends of the rope with my left and right hands; then I swung the rope behind me; then I took the rope and slowly and gently flung it forward; finally I jumped over the rope with a gentle jump when it was almost flung to my feet.
In the process of jumping rope, there are so many times to jump very poorly, either the legs are sore, or physical strength can not, sometimes jump a few stomach will hurt. Once after jumping rope I said to my mom and dad, "I will never jump rope again!" Dad asked me why, and I said, "Because I'm not making any progress jumping rope, and it's very hard." Dad said, "Everyone will always encounter difficulties in life, to face it, to solve it."
Perhaps this sentence opened my heart, and from then on I went to work out after school every day to jump rope for 10-20 minutes, and so I insisted on a few weeks down the road, and those problems above didn't exist. I jumped, jumped, jump rope also slowly obeyed. I jumped one at a time, and the better I jumped, the faster I jumped. My mom and dad were cheering me on, and I was so excited that I was able to jump more than a hundred times a minute, with very few interruptions in the middle! I was so excited that I won a prize in a school competition a few weeks later!

Then unscrewed the hose and began to fill the water, after half a day, the water has not soaked the clothes, what happened? Take a closer look, alas, I blame me too careless, the original drainage on it. I hurriedly adjusted the button to the strong wash, continue to inject water. Waiting for the water over the clothes, I put some laundry detergent, open the wash timer thirty minutes. I saw the clothes dancing in the bucket, accompanied by "rumbling" music rhythmic rotation, but also stirred up a lot of small bubbles, so beautiful!
After a while, the washing machine stopped, I fished the clothes into the water basin, and then drain the dirty water. After rinsing all the little bubbles out of the clothes, I put them in the dewatering bucket, put the lid back on, and dewatered them for five minutes. "Ron--" The dewatering bucket spun up so fast from slow to fast that the whole washing machine vibrated. Tick! The washing machine stopped working, I couldn't wait to open the lid, only to see a vortex formed in the dewatering bucket, the clothes all stick to the wall of the bucket. Sunday, I saw a lot of dust on the floor of my house, and I thought to myself, "Didn't my mom just teach me how to sweep the floor? I can sweep the floor of the house. I quickly picked up the broom and swept.
But as I swept, the dust began to fly everywhere, and I thought to myself, "I'm going to have to sweep a little more gently. The dust followed my command and slowly gathered in the dustpan.
But as I swept, the problem arose again. The broom was covered with dust, and as soon as I swept there, there was dust. I had no choice but to put the broom into the water basin. After washing for a while, I put the broom on the balcony to dry. After waiting for 10 minutes, the broom was dry enough to continue sweeping.
Sweat was dripping from my head, and I regretted having to sweep four rooms by myself. I'm tired, I don't want to sweep, but when I think of my mom's hard work every day, she has to go to work and do the housework, so I should help her to share some of the things I can do. I should help her to do what I can. Thinking of this, I picked up my spirit and continued to sweep the floor. In a short while, I reached the fourth room, and victory was at hand. When I got to the table, there was a small crack, and I couldn't get the broom in, so I wanted to give up. But then I thought, "I'll do what's best for you." I carefully turned the broom sideways and slowly reached in to clean the crack.
Then the doorbell rang, and my mom came home. When my mom saw the clean floor, she excitedly picked me up and said loudly, "You're great!"

Dad told me that when he was a kid, there was no rice cooker or induction cooker, and the `quality` of the rice at that time was very bad, with sand, straw, and even small stones in it! So there was an extra process: sanding out the sand and small stones from the rice, and my grandmother had to keep watch by the stove while the rice was being made, because the fire couldn`t be too big or too small, or it would scorch or be undercooked.
