Teaching Notes on The Lotus Dian

In July 2012, I had the honor of participating in the first national "Education Art Cup" language classroom teaching competition, teaching Sun Li's novel "Lotus Dian" and winning the national award for the first time. This novel is not unfamiliar to everyone, but I have a deep connection with it, and it's a long story. The first time I saw it, it was a very good one, and I think it was a very good one.

Besides, I have always envied the famous language teachers who can publish their excellent teaching designs in national Chinese core journals, so I subscribed to the journals for a long time, sat quietly in the snail's room, studied and analyzed them again and again, and worked hard to find out the rules. No matter it was hot and muggy in winter or late at night and early in the morning, I held the belief that it is not a good man until he reaches the Great Wall and polished the teaching design of Lotus Flower Precipice for more than two years, and I can't remember how many times I taught it and how many times I operated it, but in December 2011, I finally published a teaching design with inheritance and innovation in Language Construction, and I got the enthusiastic encouragement from the editor. The editor was full of enthusiasm and encouragement. The editor's note is still fresh in my mind: "Lotus Flower Precipice" is a traditional piece of high school language teaching. The novel uses poetic language to describe women in war, which is simple, fresh, delicate, realistic and poetic, and the image of women represented by Sister-in-law Shuisheng has left a deep impression on the readers. ...... Mr. Jiang Literature, on the basis of grasping the plot, appreciates the language of the novel, and also focuses his teaching on analyzing the characters and exploring their human beauty and spiritual beauty ......"

It is often said that this time is the same as the other time. With unremitting theoretical study and practical reflection, individuals have a deeper understanding and more accurate grasp of the essential laws of language teaching, and a newer and farther-reaching quest for the same lesson and multiple teaching of a single text. Different teaching concepts, genre (or text) characteristics, and content themes should lead to different goals, activities, and evaluations in the teaching design. A thousand moves, teaching is not a fixed method, all need to time and place because of the text because of the situation because of the people and the appropriate, specific problems and specific analysis, step by step new. The artistic aesthetic quality of the novel "Lotus Dian" is the writing, which is manifested in the contextualization of the environmental description, the flattening of the characters, and the romanticization of the treatment of the scene, etc. If we highlight the aesthetic quality of teaching, we should be able to teach the students how to write. If you highlight the aesthetic qualities to teach, how should you design it? It is a novel in verse, but where is the "poetry"? How to teach the novel to express the poetic?

Mr. Cheng Shao Tang said, "Language is the base and center point, the article is the focus, literature is the beauty point, culture is the highlight. But in terms of image, I think that between "one language, three texts" is "eyeballs" and "eyelashes", "eye sockets", "eye brows", "eye sockets" and "eye sockets". There are two ways to combine novels and poems: ① borrow the language form of poetry (narrative poetry) to write novels, poetic novels. It is a kind of narrative poem with the characteristics of the novel, compared with the general narrative poem, it is not only long, more importantly, it is like a novel, to be more detailed to depict the character, there is a complete plot structure. But it is described in the language of poetry, can express more intense feelings, and description is often less detailed than the novel specific. Such as Byron's "Don Juan", Pushkin's "Yevgeny Onegin". ② To internalize the meaning of the poem into the novel, for the poetic novel, such as Sun Li's Lotus Dian, that is, the representative of such novels. As a style of novel, poetic novel also has three elements: character, environment and plot, but these three elements are unique compared with general novels. For example, "Lotus Precipice" is an epitome of the "Lotus Precipice School" with unrealized characters, diluted plots, contextualized environmental descriptions and poetic language. Lotus Dian" is full of poetic, lyrical flavor, full of romanticism and revolutionary optimism, vivid plot, language, fresh, simple, and rhythmic, so it is called the broad sense of the "poetic novel". The aesthetic angle of "Lotus Dian" is in the language, and the core of the aesthetic is also in the language, while the destination of appreciating the language, i.e. the value orientation is in the taste of poetic beauty. Taking language as the hand, we strive to taste the poetic meaning through savoring the language. Poetry is a multi-dimensional, multi-level, multi-connotation concept, which is multi-constructed. What are the constituents of poetic meaning? What are the manifestations of the linguistic beauty of the novel? Is it the wonderful use of words, novel forms, marvelous techniques, or deep emotions and philosophies, and profound meanings? These are all to be gradually resolved around the exploration of the core issues.

The first time I saw the video, I was able to see the video of the national quality class, and read the classroom teaching records of many famous teachers, but also constantly from the Internet to collect information about the background of the era, the author's handwriting, the style of the Lotus School, and so on, and to learn from the past, and to learn from the past. In order to seize a point, not as much as the rest, for a lesson, I repeatedly deliberated to determine the learning objectives for a: appreciation of language, taste poetic beauty. Teaching is divided into two steps: reading and exploring. There are three levels of reading: perception and recognition, students read the novel to understand the storyline; emotional recitation, students read the novel again to savor the sentiment of the article; discursive reading, students read the novel three times to explore the main idea of the article. The theme of the novel is not to show the cruelty of the war, but to show the course of ordinary working women in the liberated areas to grow up to be revolutionary fighters, and this treatment is also to let people find the beauty of life. When something beautiful is in danger, it is easier to stimulate people's desire to protect it, and there is no contradiction between the deep love of husband and wife, the love of children, and the vow of defense and generosity to the death. Through the depiction of these kind and innocent people, the glory of human nature in the war environment, to show the people's defiance of violence, the spirit of defense of the home.
