The beauty of Jinzi is in the mountains, in the trees and in the water.
The mountains here, towering, like a barrier; long, like two arms, will be stretched out in the arms of the Jin Temple. Spring yellow flowers all over the mountain, the path is quiet and fragrant; autumn grass and trees are rusty [rusty] cold, sparse. The sky is high and the water is clear. No matter what time of year you pick up the stairs to climb the mountain will be relaxed and happy.
The trees here are old and strong. There are two old trees: one is Zhou cypress, the other is the Tang locust. The Zhou cypress, the trunk is strong and straight, the bark is wrinkled and cracked, the top picks a few green sparse branches, lying down [lie down (yǎn) lying] lying down. In the stone steps. That Tang locust, old trunk thick, gnarled branches coiled, a cluster of soft stripes, green leaves like a cover. There is also the water side of the temple outside the pine and cypress willows, all show the strong bones. To modeling peculiar, some of the supine as a crone negative water, some quite like a strong man to the sky, to name a few. Virgin Mary in front of the temple of the left twisted cypress, rose up, straight into the sky, its bark on the texture of the tree screwed to the left, a circle, a circle, silk lines do not mess, like the underground spinning up a smoke, and like the sky hanging down a rope. Jin Temple in the shade of the ancient wood, seemingly quiet, elegant.
The water here, more, clear, quiet, soft. In the garden faith walk, but see here a deep pool, there a small canal. There is a river under the bridge, a well in the pavilion, and a stream by the roadside. Between the stone veins, such as line like a wisp; forest blue wave flashes, such as brocade like satin. All these waters come from the "Difficult Old Spring". There is a pavilion on the spring, hanging on the pavilion is a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty, Fu Shan [Fu Shan (1607-1684)] late Ming and early Qing thinker. Word Qing master, Shanxi Yangqu (now Taiyuan) people. He was well versed in the classics, history and various scholars, as well as poetry, calligraphy and painting, and also specialized in medicine. Author of "Frost Red Niche Collection" and so on. He wrote the three words "Difficult Old Spring". So much water flowing endlessly, day and night to make a tinkling sound. The clarity of the water is really amazing, no matter how deep the water, as long as the light is good, swimming fish and broken rocks, can be seen. The flow of water are not big, clear microwave, the long grass vine pulled into a wisp of silk, laid in the river bottom, hanging on the bank, with those goldfish, moss, and the reflection of the stone fence, weaving a big ribbon, through the pavilion around the pavilion, Ran endless. When Li Bai came here, he had exclaimed, "The running water of Jinci is like jasper [Jinci running water is like jasper] in the poem "Remembering the Old Journey Sending Qiao County Yuan Senjun" by Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty." When you go along the flowing water to view the pavilions, you may ask this question: these hundreds of buildings are afraid of floating on the water, right?
However, the most beautiful is the ancient culture left to us by our ancestors. Here is the preservation of China's ancient architecture in the "three best".
One is the Hall of the Virgin Mary. It was built in the Song Tian Sheng years, rebuilt in the first year of Song Chongning (1102), which is the main hall of the whole shrine. There is a perimeter corridor outside the hall, which is the earliest surviving palace with a perimeter corridor in China's ancient architecture. The hall is seven wide, six deep, extremely spacious, but without a pillar. The original roof all rely on the wall outside the corridor on the wooden column support. Corridor columns slightly inward, the corners of the high, forming a flying eaves. Roof yellow and green glazed tiles, look away from the flying pavilion flow Dan, the momentum is very majestic. In the hall of the Song Dynasty clay statue of the Virgin Mary and 42 maids of honor, is China's existing Song Dynasty clay sculpture in the treasures. They or grooming, or sweeping, or playing music, or dance, different forms, full-bodied and handsome, face clear and rounded, vivid eyes, smooth clothing pattern, is really ingenious.
Two is the front column of the temple on the wood carving disk dragon. This is our country's earliest surviving dragon temple column, carved in the second year of Song yuan (1087). Each of the eight dragons hold a large column, angry eyes and claws, the body from the wind from the clouds, a school of life, although nearly 1,000 years ago, scales and armor beard, still like to fly, can not help but call for admiration for the quality of the wood and craftsmanship of the fine.
Three is the fish swamp flying beam in front of the temple. This is a square lotus fish marsh. A cross-shaped flying beam was erected on the marsh, supported by 34 octagonal stone pillars below. The railings and watchtowers on the side of the bridge are in a peculiar shape, and people walking on the bridge can move left and right at will. This breakthrough in the shape of a bridge cross flying beam, in China's ancient architecture is also rare.
The architectural complex of the main shrine of the Virgin Mary also includes the Dedication Hall, Pai Fang, Bell and Drum Towers, Golden Man Terrace, Water and Mirror Terrace, etc., all of which are of simple and beautiful modeling and exquisite workmanship. The whole shrine in addition to this group of buildings, there is the Chaoyang Cave, three pavilions, Guandi Temple, Wenchang Palace, jellyfish building, Sheng Ying [Ying] Nian yíng. building, Jing Qingmen, etc., are based on the mountains and the water, due to the situation of the house, or shelves in the blue waves, or hidden in the shade, each with a different interest.
The garden of many small works, but also very artisanal. For example, there is a rockery, a hanging spring hanging down the mountain, just below the standing of a white jade stone carving of a small monk, bare head, smiling eyes, hands shoulder, holding a stone bowl to catch the water. That water fills the bowl and splashes into the pool at his feet, always failing to fill the bowl. And then the clear brook, there is a stone tiger, two front paws grasping the water's edge of the stone, neck and waist, lips just not into the water, the momentum as if to suck all the hundred rivers like. Successive generations of writers and artists have loved the Jin Temple this good place, the stone walls and halls next to the stone tablets on the porch, leaving a lot of celebrities on the inscription, words and sentences Li, calligraphy exquisite, for the lakes and mountains added a lot of charm.
Jinzi, really worthy of our country's beautiful mountains in a bright pearl.
