American Movie Recommendations

With so many answers, it's not surprising that the owner is still unsatisfied, because the owner is more demanding, so I'll give it a try.

Dead Poets Society

A group of elite high school students, their souls are bound under the shackles of exam-oriented education, and eventually brewed tragedy. Sounds like China, doesn't it?

Forrest Gump

This is a classic that is hard to beat in my mind. I've seen it more than three times myself, and some of my classmates have seen it ten times. I've seen it more than three times myself, and some of my classmates have seen it ten times. Who says "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you gonna get"? I've seen it more than three times myself, and some of my classmates have seen it ten times.

Scent of a Woman

Don't let the name scare you. The movie is about two oblivious friends who have known each other for three days, help each other out, and each get their humanity redeemed. The last bit of SPEECH my classmates and I could have memorized.

Mr. Holland's Opus

This is an ordinary man's life, this is the little man's version of the American dream, this is a story similar to the Chinese idiom "peach and plum full of the world", to see the end of the tears.

The Legend of 1900

Though it is an Italian film, I still recommend it as my favorite. Rest assured that it is in English, and the dialog is clear and worthy of imitation. Genius, obsession, loneliness, yearning for freedom, American dream, these are the key words of this movie. Many people can't understand why the protagonist refuses to get off the boat for the rest of his life, but I understand it this way: if a primitive man who grew up in the mountains has never heard of the ocean, how would he feel when he really sees the ocean? And the protagonist of this movie is just the opposite, what he fears, is the city built of steel and concrete.

Big Fish

A father's legendary life, entangled with imagination and reality. A father's love is unique but sincere and touching, and a father's outlook on life is yet another indelible American Dream.

Okay. That's all for now. I personally prefer aesthetic literary films, the above are in this range, I do not know if it is suitable for the owner's taste.
