Poems about Shanghai (Modern Poetry)

Modern Poetry on Sleepless Shanghai

The window of the 21st floor beats with the eyelashes of the Pearl of the Orient

The twinkle of the deep night sky

The stars have lost their light

The moon also shyly hides among the clouds and turns its crystal eyes

Flattering waves gently float halfway across the sky

Looking down at the Huangpu River flowing

The reflection of a hundred years of stories faintly moves to tell the heart of a person. The reflection of a hundred years of storytelling moves slightly to tell the story of the heart

Dreams slip gently under the eyelids

Without bringing the thoughts of a lover

The cluttered thoughts around the city

Through the Floating thoughts

Dating with neon rainbow plaza

As exciting as the daytime

The excitement of the Bund, which is crowded with couples, is impossible to sleep.

The Waibaidu Bridge is wearing the long coat of Suzhou River's joys and sorrows

Shedding the city's fickleness and talking quietly with the Huangpu River

The meat-and-vegetable dinners fight with the gastric juices

Letting the bile judge

Or falling into the small intestines' gentle trap of slow entanglement

The accumulation of the fat's residual value

Becomes the big belly and the bloated body.

Can't stop the city from exploding in popularity

The wind outside the window seeks its companion among the twinkling stars

Through the cracks shakes the glass of affection

Letting the heat wave have a touch of pleasure

Thinking about the heart of the dance and the night together with the slipping through the insomniac Shanghai

One of the neon signs on the Huangpu River

The night is the time of the day when you can see the neon signs on the Huangpu River

At the end of the day you can see the neon signs on the Huangpu River.

The night,

Dreams are stirring the pillow thinking, ripples of watchfulness,

Push open the window facing the river. Mind out of the string into neon eyes,

flashes shot through the splendor of the river to and fro.

The long dragon lying on the ground for a thousand years, pupils envisioned Shanghai tomorrow ---- the home of the World Expo, the international metropolis.

The river water dissolves the curling smoke, transformed into rows and rows of buildings.

The Oriental Pearl's forehead, Jin Mao's waist plate, the International Convention Center's chest,

The colorful mood inverted into the exciting river, recycling people looking forward to the idea.

I pillowed the neon on the Huangpu River, recalling:

Yesterday you absorbed your mother's milk slowly grew up;

Today you have been strong to collect the world;

Tomorrow you are going to reproduce the splendor of today
